How appropriate that there is a collection for Dnipro Kids at our Euro match tomorrow...a quid from all those attending would help change more lives. Football Fans (some times deservedly) often get bad press - this is something we as Hibs supporters should rightly be proud of :aok:

The Dnipro Kids Appeal, a charity founded by Hibs supporters for Ukrainian orphans, needs Hibees to dig deep before kick off against Malmo FF on Thursday night with a pre-match bucket collection.
Every donation will help to make a significant difference to the lives of the children of Dnipropetrovsk.
During our 2005 UEFA Cup trip to Dnipropetrovsk, our supporters saw the unbearable conditions forced upon the orphans and decided to make a difference. The rest, as they say, is history.
It all started with a one-off bucket collection, prior to the club's home UEFA cup game against FC Dnipro, in September 2005, soon becoming a fully-fledged charity within a few months.
Over the following years the generous spirit of Hibernian fans has raised well over £15,000 for the Dnipro Kids Appeal to aid orphaned children in Ukraine. Now the Dnipro Kids Appeal needs your help:
The Dnipro Kids Appeal need as many volunteers as possible to shake a bucket at the turnstiles for around 30 minutes prior to the game.
If you are interested in making a difference please email steven@dniprokids.com
It all started with a European adventure eight years ago and encapsulates the true Hibernian spirit - going the extra mile for a worthy cause.
Thanks for your continued support of the Dnipro Kids Appeal and please make a small donation to the bucket collection on Thursday evening.

Few extra volunteers still needed - contact StevieC...its only an hour of your time. My daughter has insisted on doing it again even although its her 16th birthday today and she will cut short her birthday meal to do so

Come on you know you want to :aok:

This!

My 15 year old son has volunteered himself and me again. :greengrin

Volunteering as a pair or family group is a great way to get your kids involved in a good cause, you can keep each other company. You get a great reception from your fellow Hibbies, few will knowingly pass you buy without dropping some cash in your bucket

So if there's any parents or groups of mates reading this please volunteer your crew to help out for an hour

Proud once again of all those who volunteered, and those who gave generously and sought out someone with a bucket for this good cause.

A big well done to those on the charity committee who work tirelessly for something that is more important than football :aok: - I even collected some Swedish cash from some friendly and fairly bladdered Malmo fans as well as having some good conversations about how well / long this has been going......PRIDE on a night which other than the minutes applause had very little...
