Why oh why do we still have to go to ER to pick up tickets, why does the club not sell them through the internet and have people print out their own barcoded ticket, its not rocket science and its not difficult, it would also save the club and fans alot of hassle and money, admin costs would not have to be paid either. It works in Holland.

Crackin Idea, I mean you can board an aircraft with tickets like that. :top marks

:agree: New system should manage this similar to airline tickets, but baby steps and all that. You do realise that there will be a thread about printer not working/run out of ink etc and people having to go to ticket office...................

We use the same system at work (hence my knowledge) and you wouldn't believe some of the stuff we see. The ticket printers in the ticket office cost £1,500 apiece, your average home printer is about £50. Go figure!

Your average home printer is an inkjet that costs a fortune in ink cartridges and runs if it gets wet in the rain.

Your average office printer is a laser that is far cheaper to run and does not run. It will withstand anything apart from being 'ironed' by a moronic Yam.

The system should work provided that the software cancels the barcode as soon as the ticket is scanned at the turnstile. Otherwise the same ticket could be printed out again and again.

Effectively yes. However if he wants to sit in the North Stand he can just buy a ticket from the ticket booth or 'pod' as Hibs call them which is situated at the North-East Corner.

East Stand is sold out.

I'm an East stand ST holder, bought my ticket for the west, is the game added onto my card or do I need to pick up? And if it's added onto my card then I assume I'll need to bring a note of where my seat is as I won't receive a ticket?

Are you planning to pay for their tickets by placing down an unrealistically small deposit followed by monthly ( cancellable ) direct debits for the remaining balance ?

No, I'm pretty sure it has to be the same seat to be added to your card. That's what happened to me anyway.

I'd bring the debit card you used and a print out of your confirmation email just to be safe but they didn't bother about it with me.

Must admit to being surprised at the level of tickets sold. Was expecting 14k tops. Now looking at probably minimum 16k. Well impressed.
