Brilliant move, hope it catches on.

Story also goes on to show that they subsidised ticket prices for a FA cup tie to Sunderland. Making away grounds less intimidating could also add some points over the course of a season and pay for itself.

That's very impressive from Stoke.

The Premiership clubs don't seem to be short of a pound or 2 at the moment. They are all splashing the cash at the moment.

A concept alien from our board. Even when we made unprecedented millions from the golden generation and attendances were the highest we'd had for a long time. All we got was a consistent increase in season ticket prices each year.

Probably because unlike quite a few clubs they won't be attracting many casual / glory hunting / glamour fans.

A nice idea, but when you've got the ludicrous levels of cash floating about like they do, that certainly helps!

Rangers, Dunfermline, Hertz, Livingston, Dundee and Gretna but don't let that get in the way of a moan. Oh and BTW yawn!!!

Agree.

If we were guaranteed £55m each year on TV money then I would expect free journeys by helicopter to each away game.

The SPL should take the initiative and provide free match-day travel for all with a match ticket. As it is in Germany, Oder.

Still, a nice gesture by Stoke.

Presumably hoping he reverts to the manager he was at Blackburn, rather than the tedious man with the massive ego at QPR.

I think it might work out with Sparky and Stoke.

We've done it as a one off in the past Relegation 6 pointer against Dumbarton at Boghead is one that I recall.
