TBH, anything that would have us creating chances and playing a bit of footy and throwing a BIT of caution to the wind would be good. I like your team but all the players regardless of their position should be trying to take the game to them rather than the back off tactics that are now normal at ER. Obviously the caution to the wind tactics should be left until later but we need to get some momentum going.

Me neither, and I think its important that he backs James to the hilt for the first few weeks. He clearly wasnt right last season, but needs a good run with his managers back if he is going to reach the heights again. If he does get back to his best it will be like a new signing in a way.

If I'm honest, I fear that whatever XI we have on the park wont be able to 1) score the 3 goals needed to win the tie and probably more importantly, 2) not concede another.

I really like Taiwo and would be hard to drop him but we need players to get up support the forwards and provide a goal threat, I fear however that is still lacking in this squad and take away Leigh (and also Harris) and we lose the only real creative sparks in the side.

Very tough ask in the second leg but lets get behind the team and give it our best shot, would rather we see another AEK Athens game than go out with a whimper by playing 4-5-1 hoping to keep it tight and sneak a couple of goals.

451 on the face of it but an attack-minded player in the middle (Craig) and two wingers with little responsibility to get back.

I doubt Cairney will get a start but I really think he would be a better bet than having Caldwell up top. If not Cairney then Craig on the left and Robertson in the middle. OTJ added nothing.

Personally I wouldn't have him in a 4-3-3 because of Thomson, would have him in most other teams though
