Bus tickets from Dundee to Edinburgh get steeper the nearer the matches come and the longer Sky/ESPN/whoever take to decide when they'll be played, the more I have to pay. You can add travelling fans to the list of supporters these corporations don't give a **** about.

The minute I get my own place there's no way in hell that lot'll be getting any of my hard earned money, it'll be the perfectly legal foreign sports channels all the way. **** them. :aok:

I understand that the first match of Televised matches for England will appear on Monday for BSkyB and BT.

I assume that the Scottish matches will be announced at the same time.

Incidentally the English Premier in Rugby Union has televised matches with KO times for the first 7 weeks mapped out. My team (Bath) are on the box for 6 of those 7 weeks!

Not sure why this isn't the case with Scottish Football.

I guess we can assume the Yams game will be on telly.

Get it sorted Petrie!

I can see Hearts v Hibs getting moved for the Sunday. There is a chance we could be playing in Europe in the Thursday prior to it

Anyone heard whether BT Sport will be shown on Virgin? They'd still to sort it out when I last spoke to them.

This makes sense. But it would be good if they could announce the TV fixtures in good time, if only to give time for Pierre at Quinn's to produce another sumptuous menu for us, and for Jean-Claude to get the wine cellar replenished.

Back in the 1998-2002 Sky contract for live SPL games, the original kick off time was 6.05pm on a Sunday night, it changed to Saturday 5.35pm for the last year of the deal in 2001/02.

The clubs then rejected a new Sky deal tried and failed to setup their own SPL TV channel and had to go with a poor BBC offer. Sky spent the money set aside for the SPL on Spanish football. That was the defining moment of the SPL between 1998-2013.

Don't see there being much difference between a 6 o'clock on a Saturday/Sunday and a 7.30/7.45 kick off on a Friday night to be honest.
If we were to have these kick off times instead of the early morning games I think it would improve our ticket sales no end.

I am not disputing the point about kick off times improving ticket sales.

But I maintain more folk would be pished on a Friday (19.45) and Saturday (17.15) than they would at 6pm on a Sunday night.

So much for Hibs fighting to get us more consistent kick off times. Obviously all hot air from the club last year.
My own circumstances mean that too many evening kick offs will see me give up on our three season tickets. Hopefully the number of people who prefer random evening kicks offs greatly outnumbers those it puts off.
Saturday. 3pm. More of those kick off times please.

It's the week night KO's that put us off , they were brutal last year in particular for us. I don't like the Sunday games but can put up with them, them but not the mid week ones.

I love watching Saturday 5:15 games on the telly, but not up for going to them because that will eat up so much of your Saturday :( for me that's leave at 3 and back home at 8! Really hope we get as little of these as possible.

Don't think the club can win whatever they do. I'm the opposite to you, don't mind midweek games but it's the early morning games that kills me. Particularly the Sunday which is a complete no-no and why I haven't renewed this year.

I just want to be able to get a pint before the game with plenty of time to travel if it's an away game.

3 on a Saturday fits the above criteria perfectly.

Hopefully there are lots out there who will answer the call, we really do have the chance to cement a rosy future here, it's in our own hands. Onwards and upwards. :greengrin

might be a police thing perhaps as most folk will be working Fridays but Saturday enables all day drinking.

Saturday evenings will suit me perfectly. Much rather that than a stupid monday evening game. As someone pointed out to me at Easter Road last year by the time February had come round we had played every day of the week. That's just wrong in my book!

Are we not all under one police force now? If they can have Airdrie v Rangers on a Friday night with a 7.45 kick-off then surely we can play games at what ever time suits. Other than the games against the yams I don't see it being a problem if we were to play on Saturday nights.
