Just wondering what happened to these guys? Always make my trip to Easter road more of an experience, and were 12/10 for spirit at the 1-1 derby draw last season.

Easter Road ain't the same without Section 43. They make Hibs games enjoyable for all. Hope we see them stick together and continue their good hard work and keep inspiring the team on.

Moot point I know but there is still a singing area in section43 of the East. Indeed there's been an area to sing in since the late 60's when I first started yodelling at games.

Mr Carter was undoubtably referring to................

SECT43:flag::hibees:pfgwa

...............the dozen or so activists (plus helpers) behind the improving songbook, tifos, corteos, scarf-producing, flag-making, Hampden-inspiring activities that have helped unite the Hibernian terracing Family since 2011

Personally I hope they are just re-charging their batteries for 'son-of-Sect43' :greengrin

The wee boy has ensured we move up into section 43 this season...

He can't wait to get in amongst it!

When I was 11 the old east was a real eye opener. It's good to know he's got a modern day equivalent to experience....

Bring it on

Section 43 is sing song central, although its always good to hear elsewhere leading the line - something about how the singing goes when we're making our regular trips to Hampden :-)

The guys that have coordinated the displays are hopefully just having a siesta and will be back with even more creativity in the future.

DC_Hibs heard from a (respected) source that two of their top boys were in talks - as early as May -about a move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
No about straight to the top avoiding supports like Dortmund, Scheiss Fortuna, die Scheisse vom Dom etc

I think some of them were considering continuing Sect 43. Really hope they do because they were absolutely brilliant last season. They should keep the name too.

Ive just gotten my season ticket for the first time in almost 10 years in section 43.

Hopefully there will still be the singing even if they have formally disbanded

Fingers crossed they remain. We are a united band of fans this year, we need them to be the catalyst for a great atmosphere.

I heard they split due to musical differences. I'm betting there's a bird involved somewhere though.

Renewed my season ticket with my little brother but moved from the West to the East... He's sat up there two or three times last season with his pals but insisted that we get a season ticket for there next season. Hope that they've not completely gone but I'll be up there anyway with the wee man signing my heart out!

I don't really know the distinction.but the 12th man and sect 43 are making the atmosphere outstanding.

Without these groups there's no way the final would have had that atmosphere IMO.

Hope the initiatives keep going.

I think "section 43 is no more" is a bit misleading.

When S43 were getting it in the neck on here and being wrongly accused of committing the cardinal sins of wearing grey tracky bottoms, singing daft songs and generally embarrassing the club, we were assured that S43 was in fact a small group (ten or twelve I think) who tried to bring some focus to the improvement in atmosphere at ER. They were also the ones who co-ordinated banner displays etc.

AFAIK and I am happy to be corrected, if wrong - it is that group that has had problems and disbanded. Singing will still continue in S43 of the East Stand.

Really? Don't get me wrong they have been great but I think you're well off the mark with that comment.

Every fan played their part that day but without Sect43 I doubt Alez Au which was belted out all game would have took off so well last season. No matter what happens to Sect43 as a group the atmospheres will remain if not exceed the level set last season. :agree:

I think allez allez oh really caught on at the Motherwell 4-0 game where we had an amazing performance and support.

Almost as good as the Killie away game which was truly an astonishingly good support.

Sect43 have done a great job and although they may no longer be here in name, their values seem to persist as shown by the cracking support in Malmo which wasn't generated by Sect43 in itself but the general Hibs support.

Jack had a chat with one of the guys this afty.

It would seem that there will be a group of guys who were in Sect 43 who are staying together and leading the line.

Bit early to say how this will go obviously but they're keen.

The start of season bug, is starting to bite. Don't know what the fall out is all about, but it's maybe time to build bridges as the Hibee family unite at the gathering on Thursday, to remember the past achievements of our legends, and look to the future of what could be achieved.

Fair few have other commitments now, moved away, away to uni won't make as many games, some focusing on there families or quite frankly can't get the money together to pay 400+ for a St.
