Heard he's been offered the job after QOS and Kilmarnock agreed a fee. Obviously he's better than Gary Golden Shower but surely Collins or someone more experienced would have been a safer bet.

They probably want someone who wont storm off in the huff when they don't get what they want?

I'm not sure experienced is the word I'd use for JC!

QoS played some nice stuff and where the first team in Britain to win their league last season, he must know what he's doing...

Wouldn't surprise me. Done a great job at QOS and Killie would be a good next step for him. Wonder if he will take Sandy Clark with him

Great appointment for Killie if true.

He's young with new ideas, and likes his team to pass with pace. One to watch next season imo.

Think it could be a good appointment but not the safest.

He won the league by miles but was he not the only manager with full time team in the league? Hope Sandy Clark does come with him as he isn't the most experienced.

Think one thing our chairman has got right is his managerial appointments, Calderwood kept us up, then Mixu and Kenny so not a bad record with choosing managers!

Allan Johnston has agreed to become the new manager of Kilmarnock.

The former Killie player will succeed Kenny Shiels at Rugby Park, with his former club Queen of the South confirming Johnston's departure on Monday evening.

The 39-year-old has been in protracted talks over his move to the Scottish Premier League side, finally committing to the move after a weekend of uncertainty.

Johnston won the Second Division and Challenge Cup in his maiden season as a manager with Queen of the South.

The former Scotland international spent five years with Kilmarnock as a player from 2004 to 2009, making 130 appearances.

Great appointment for Hertz. They might give the Yams a sniff of survival with this rookie.
