Perhaps it's becoming a thing of the past with accessibility of footage on YouTube but for me many of my Hibee memories are captured in iconic moments in my mind or on camera film/image.

Archie The Jinx Busting goal for starters
The penalty win run by sever of the Golden generation
The Ibrox hoisting of Ivan
Skol cup massed sea of green

What are yours?

I wonder if a collection of such iconic moments would sell (make a profit) as a glossy hardback...

In my addled mind Archie the Jinx buster was the headline on Hibs Monthly. Also named out London Hibs quiz team in 98 after that.

Archibald's goal in 2-1 win was November 1988, whilst Geebsie's goal was August 1994.....(The merrick's opened new stand, and Geebsie pee'd on their parade)

Archie was the original jinx buster...

http://www.hibshistoricaltrust.org.uk/player-profiles/item/144-steve-archibald

Ask any Hibs fan to name their favourite 'Steve Archibald' moment and you will get a unanimous vote. On 12 November 1988, Hibs travelled to Tynecastle to play Hearts. Hibs hadn't won against Hearts in Gorgie for nearly twenty years and even though Alex Miller's men were in good form, sitting in fourth place, four places above their city rivals, the fans travelled more in hope than expectation. In the 15th minute, Paul Kane gave Hibs the lead with a superb header, but as the fans were still celebrating, big Gordon Rae was sent off.

Despite being down to ten men, Hibs controlled the game and never looked to be in any trouble. With seven minutes remaining, a long overhead kick from Paul Kane found Steve with only Dave McPherson between him and the goal. Such odds never troubled Steve and he easily held off McPherson before striking a superb left foot shot passed Henry Smith into the bottom right hand corner of the net. The fact that the goal came at the Gorgie Road end, which in those days housed the Hibs fans, made it even sweeter and as the soaking wet supporters celebrated in the rain, Steve stood with arm raised allowing photographers to snap the iconic image.

Can't find a copy online but I always loved the one of Eddie Turnbull in the Vasco da Gama.

Just before kick off the pennant for exchange in one hand and shaking hands with the Vasco captain with the other with a huge crowd in the background.

It's got that magic some old photos have and the expression on Eddie's face is wonderful.

One of my favourite Youtube clips - watching a few Hibs fans race back into the stadium from the exits when they heard the roar

My favourite two Hibs fans - what a pair of players they were. Legends! :agree: God Bless Them!

That is directly after Jimmy "stole" Paddy's goal on the line in the best derby ever 7-0 (or 0-7 for the officious among us)!!!

When people say there is no such thing as "Hibs Class" or that the phrase makes them cringe, I always think back to this photo of Sauzee, which proves they are talking complete and utter *****.

Hibs class head to toe.

Archie was the original jinx buster...

Bit of a shocker from HHT there. Apart from the obvious 7-0 game we also won at PBS in 76, 77 & 79. There were also about 4 or 5 seasons when we weren't in direct competition, mostly due to Hawrts being in a lower division. In fact the jinx buster was quite the opposite. When we lost 3-2 at PBS in about 1984 that was only their 2nd home win in about 15-20 years. Writing this from memory so please don't destroy me if I'm a bit off!

Don't know the exact details but the first Hibs Hearts game I ever attended was about 1971. The first time I saw Hibs lose against them was that 3-2 game. I guess there must have been one or two Hearts wins in-between that I just missed for whatever reason but there weren't many. They were pretty awful in those days. :greengrin
