Can you really see any judge or jury in cataluya convict him?

There is no way him or his old man will be in jail, they will get a rap on the knuckles and told to pay the tax

Depends if the judge is a Real fan or not :greengrin. He'll get his wrists slapped, a sizeable fine and be forced to apologise, he'll then go on to score 90 odd goals next year.

That would leave him free to consider the bid which will come from the Maroon Marvels from Gorgie.

I see his mate, coward and play actor Javier Mascherano is in soapy bubble too after their latest qualifier - his bravery knows no bounds after he kicked out at the driver of a medic vehicle taking him off the pitch after one of his now many 'injuries' - seemed to perk up a little and jump around like a demented flea after the ref brandished the red card. Hope the cowardly **** gets banned from international football.

From Messi Facebook page, sounds a bit like our neighbours :greengrin
We communicate “We have just known through the media about the claim filed by the Spanish tax authorities. We are surprised about those news, because we have never committed any infringement. We have always fulfilled all our tax obligations, following the advices of our Tax Consultants who will take care of clarifying this situation.”

I don't like Mascherano either, but it was hardly crime of the century was it. :greengrin
If this is true I hope he goes to jail. He's on at least £200,000 a week but yet he still wants more. Thieving little prick.

If it's true then he should receive a lengthy jail sentence.
He won't though.

Getting messy for Messi!! Surely you don't get summoned to court by a judge if your tax affairs are above board? Maybe he owes it to himself?

Seems abit odd to me.
Why would a guy who will earn over 200 million quid in his career risk a jail term for a (relative to him ) small amount of money?

It's probably ignorance more than deceit, I would imagine the club or at the very least an accountant would sort all this out for him so as not to make any mistakes, is a strange one though I agree :agree:

I initially thought the same but with a bit more (maybe misplaced thoughts) isnt it just that some folks want to avoid paying as much tax as possible, either legally or not, and perhaps he's been poorly advised but either way it would a brave court/judge that tried to lock him up!
