Just to let you all know, the Hibs Legends team will be playing their annual charity match this Saturday, 15th June, against Leith Athletic. This is part of the Leith Festival. The Legends team includes, Keith Wright, Mickey Weir, Paul Kane, Graham Hunter, Garath Evens, Kevin Harper. The game kicks off at 2pm on the Links.

Also, for anyone that is interested, as part of the Festival their will be a Kids sponsored walk leaving Leith Academy at 10:30 and going around the stadium before heading down to the links. The walk is only about a mile or so and the money will be shared between four local primary schools that are taking part, and local charities. It is open to anyone to join in. The Walk will be started by and joined but a number of former players including Pat Stanton.

There will also be a Race Night in the Four-in-Hand in the evening to raise money for the sculpting and casting of the bust of Michael Whelahan the co-founder of Hibs. We have raised about two-third of the money needed, so a final push should be enough to see the project completed. It is hoped that the bust will be ready early next season and will be on display next to the one of co-founder Cannon Edward Hannon at the stadium. The race night will start at 7:30 and it is free entry but tickets will be needed and are available from behind the bar in the Four-in-Hand and the Tor. Their will also be some former players there on the night. There will be some great prizes including signed shirts and balls. Should be a good day all round.
