Having just read this story (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22769080), it reminds me of previous debates I've heard regarding the use of court martials for alleged criminal offences committed by members of the armed forces, rather than crimnal trials for "ordinary civilians".

In this particular case, does anybody know whether the location of the offence, the use of a court martial and/or the siting of the court martial in Germany will prevent Soldier X from being placed on the Sex Offenders' Register in this country?

Can we find out soon where it is? Some schools are planning educational visits to Germany - could be a danger to the childrens.
