Had a quick scope and not seen one elsewhere so thought it would be good to have a place to put all rumours and transfers of other clubs in here.

I'll start with the Suarez story from the bbc:
Real Madrid are prepared to offer Luis Suarez a £140,000-a-week, four-year contract and are confident they will be able to sign the Liverpool forward, 27, for £20m plus Spanish striker Jose Callejon, 26.

Rumour doing the rounds: hearts have used their contacts at Liverpool to monitor the Suarez situation. They're ready to make him a better offer than Madrid, which would include being part of a loan deal and "big team wee team 1902 hobo 1-5 killed you"

Monaco who have just been promoted back to the top league in France seem to be the big spenders this summer, they get their cash from their owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, (http://www.forbes.com/profile/dmitry-rybolovlev/) worth $9.1 billion. The extravagant billionaire reportedly paid more than $300 million for a Monaco penthouse called La Belle Epoque, where he lives.

Looking to sign

Falcao from A Madrid £50.7 million (€60m) release clause
Hulk from Zenit
Valdes from Barca

Already signed

James Rodriguez £45 million from Porto
Joao Moutinho £25 million from Porto

Don't know a great deal about it but Falcao is effectively 'owned' by some third party (his agent I think) so he can pretty much do what he wants with him. A few other players that moved to porto in the past have signed similar deals I'm sure also.

I'm not convinced he'd be a good signing. Fenlon likes his wingers to play on the wrong wing and cut inside but from what i can make out Wylde is a really quick left footed left winger with not a lot else to his game so i'm not sure we'd get the best out of him.

Maybe depends on what strikers we sign though, if we get a big striker that scores headers then Fenlon may re-think what he does with the players in wide areas.

Would be good news for us. With craig, lomas and probably davidson leaving they won't get anywhere near the same heights next season.

No way Motherwell will be as good next year and i would imagine both Caley and Utd will be losing key players.

We should really be aiming high next year if we can recruit a good striker.

Dundee UTD, Hearts and Aberdeen in for Badwillie, surprised we've not been in for him

If we are not in for him (I'm not "in the know" so all of this is just guesses) then it'll be because we will be trying to throw everything at getting Leigh Griffiths and they are too similar and we could never afford both.

My worry is that we spend the summer playing the long game, the waiting game, trying to get LG and then finally give up at the last minute only to find lots of other decent targets (like Goodwillie for example) have gone elsewhere and we are left with little time to sign anyone and make a quick cheap signing.

Definitely worth holding out for LG but maybe we should not do it all summer long and there has to come a point when a line is drawn under that one, ideally before the start pre-season or at the very least the start of the season. There is a part of me that says just hold right out until the end of the window but that could be disasterous if we don't get him.

Do wonder if the Goodwillie to SPL clubs story is a bit premature, as loan signings are normally done much closer to the start of the season/just before the window closes. United would surely hold the aces there as he has had a decent time in the past with them but money will talk and he could go to whoever is willing to pay the biggest portion of his Blackburn wage.

Very much a "BBC understands that..." article but still interesting that although our name is mentioned at the bottom of the page referencing the rumours about him coming to us on loan in January, we're not credited with an interest now.

This may of course be because Hibs are (correctly) keeping our cards close to our chest but after all the speculation in January and folk on here suggesting there was genuine interest from us, it would be somewhat surprising if we're not looking at him.

I have to be honest and say I haven't seen much of him so cant say if I'd be desperate for us to bring him in but we definitely need another wide player. Would hope that if Fenlon is keen we wouldn't be losing out to Motherwell or Aberdeen.

Just wondered if all or any of these players that Rangers have snapped up/are interested in, were offered deals by SPL clubs? I see Gomis and Bauben have now been linked with Rangers (on BBC website), surely clubs like Hibs and a few others must be tempted to go for them (not just these 2 players). I'm not being naive, but maybe it's an enditement on Scottish football that players would go to a club in the 2nd Div for the money, rather than play at the top level. Unless of course the wages in the SPL (apart from Celtic) are so piss poor that it's a no brainer. Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on this, because it's likely Rangers will not be playing in the SPL for a couple of seasons anyway unless the SPL/SFA etc change the rules to allow them back in.

Paper talk today is of Ian Vigurs being linked with Motherwell and Sevco. Thought I heard on radio he had signed for Oldham. anyway, we couldn't complete with Sevco but if he doesn't go there and Motherwell are looking at him, surely we could put something in front of him. Gamble to an extent as players like him often don't settle away from the unit they are used to but he wouldn't cost anything.

Also, reading LG's quotes sounds as if he is going to give it a go at Wolves next season so perhaps sadly, time to put that one to bed. Decent focus for replacements? Billy McKay at ICT - not sure what his contract situation is but if theres not much left then won't be a huge fee. Again trouble with him is like Vigurs, will he play as well at another team. Not as exciting or as good as LG but good SPL goalscoring record last season though. If we can't get Leigh then we should get ourselves in the mix for David Goodwillie while he is available. He may choose United and they will be in a strong position with the emotional ties and now will have some free wages/cash with the Russel sale but worth getting in there.

Other players worth considering - Higdon/Heffernan good big strikers with an eye for goal. Higdon will probably want a bigger team than us but worth a shot.

Tin hat on but perhaps a Goodwillie or Billy McKay and Higdon or Heffernan might be a better use of cash than throwing it all at Leigh. Really not sure as Leigh is the best player we have had in a long time but even with him on fire the team struggled at times last season so it would be good to have more than one goal scoring option and try to develop a partnership.

Clarkson might be worth a shot. Was decent for Well and a good age now to get his career started. Sort of player that will interest Hearts, Aberdeen, Dundee United and Motherwell. We'll all be in for the same players this season and the good thing at least is that nobaody has cash to sign tons of strikers so we should all get someone from the names being banded about.

I get this. Leigh is by far the best player I've seen at ER in a good while. Probably since Riordan's first spell.

This year however, we have struggled when teams shut off Leigh. I do think that it would be good to have two good strikers to give teams more to think about. Big man, wee man combo perhaps.

Saying that i would like to sign Leigh and get another like big Taylor or a Higdon type then we have killed two birds.

Who knows. McLeish certainly worked well in the transfer market - altho he had a fair bit of cash to do so. Mowbray did well too but I feel that Pat Fenlon has shown promise in this area as well. Fingers crossed for this summer. It will be great if two or three of our own youngsters can really make a big and consistent impact next season too.

I'd also like to say that my ambition would not simply be "not losing" to Hearts. I'd like to see us targetting turning them over time after time, home and away, season after season.

Depends in what was as all are very different players? You mean skilful foreign players? You could possible argue Claros is one... Not as good some would say but when you consider the amount of cash we have now compared to then I would say he's up their as far as what we can afford!

Think there signings will definitely boost their squad but don't think I'd have them at hibs, Robson undoubtedly was a very good player but at 34 is a very short term option and won't have the same impact on games. I was impressed with aberdeen's business last summer and in other summers too but while they often look in better shape than a lot of teams they haven't done anything for a few years. Robson was a good player but whether he still is, who knows. Think he will do ok though similar job to what Gavin Rae did if not better as he will provide more assists and score more goals. Flood is decent spl standard but not hugely exciting. No idea what the striker is like. Players like him coming to the spl have proven to be a bit hit and miss over the years. If he is good though they could get goals with McGinn and Hayes out wide. Mcinnes is prob best manager they have had since calderwood too.

Totally agree with you, I remember reading last season folk saying they have done great with their signings and will be really strong and that didn't materialise. I look at the signings they have made this year and I think they will add a solid foundation but wont transfer their fortunes into a considerably better team IMO. Heard it from a few yams that after he was released from them that we had held talks with him. Would be a decent enough signing I think as he's quite versatile a bit like Stevenson but right sided.

They were quite disappointed he was released as well.

According to Keekback we've signed Fraser Mullen

Looking around the SPL (apart from Celtic) at who other teams have signed so far, is there any you would have liked to see at Hibs? Inverness and Ross County have signed a few boys i've not heard of. Aberdeen made a few signings and possibly I'd have liked Gregg Wylde and maybe Robson (but he may now be past it). United have signed 8 new players but think only Goodwillie would be a certain starter for us. Motherwell have made some good signings - Vigurs, in particular, I rate. St Johnstone signed Wotherspoon - who I dont think is good enough for Hibs. Killie are in a bit of a mess and dont think theyve signed anyone. All in all not a great deal happening, Goodwillie probably best signing but dont think there's too much to worry about. Feeling OK about Hibs next season but we need a quality striker in.

I just had a peek on keekback.
What planet are these guys on?
They say Boyds signed for Duisberg for 6 months for free.
However a few of them think that he only wants to play for the yams and that he'll sign for them once they are out of trouble in 6 months time.
Why do they think players want to play for them and no one else.
Do they think they're special or something?

Cavani hasn't signed for PSG yet, neither has Lewandowski for Bayern Munich. Napoli & PSG are locked in talks about a deal being done but Edinson hasn't signed for them or had his medical. Regarding the Lewandowski deal, I'm sure Jurgen Klopp said that Lewandowski isn't leaving this season but is pretty sure that he will be a Bayern Munich player in season 2014/15 when his contract expires.

Thiago signs for Bayern Munich from Barcelona for £21.6M. They must have the strongest midfield in the world now.

3 attacking positions if they play the same formation they did last year, and I think pep would be foolish to switch from (hasn't looked like it during pre season at least). For those 3 positions they have: Muller, Kroos, Robben, Ribery, Goetze, Shaquiri and Thiago. All of those players are world class and four of them will be sitting either on the bench or the stands every week.

Now, I'm a Dortmund fan, so I don't really like Bayern at the best of times, but that seems a little bit ridiculous if you ask me. Bayerns second XI would still walk home with the bundesliga as it stands. Little bit sickened that they have all these quality players but refuse to sell even those they don't need.

However, looks likely that Shaqiri could be on the market to loan/buy soon. Let's hope Petrie wins Euromillions. Cracking player.

Gomez is away to Fiorentina mate. But like you said, the likes of Kroos, Thiago, Muller, Shaqiri, Luiz Gustavo all on the bench.
