My inlaws are here and I was hoping to book dinner at Creelers, but to my great surprise, it closed in 2012!

Next I tried Fishers in the City, but they're full at the time we wanted.

My mind had gone blank as to other suggestions for decent mid-range eateries which are centrally located.

Help please...

You've not put the cuisine you like/want. I always find the 'List' guide quite good. Some reviews are based on who puts adverts in their guide but plenty wee gems in there as well.

Tiger Lily on George Street, though I've not been in a few months. It was superb last time we were there.

We were thinking about fish, but it's not a deal breaker.

Loch Fyne is just too out of the way for us really. We're in Corstorphine so were hoping for a central venue.

The fish in The Clamshell at The Tron is quite good. :-)

If its seafood your after Ondine on George IV Bridge is the best fish restaurant in the city (but has the prices to reflect this).

There are two Fishers and the one at The Shore is the better of the two although its a little out the way for you.

Cafe Fish won best seafood restaurant in Scotland at The Scottish Restaurant Awards for 2012 so its pretty good but not on the same level as Ondine.
