Looks like we'll need these as we're losing two strikers who scored a collective 39 goals this year...
Who do we reckon? Lyle Taylor, new deal for Kuqi, Caldwell, someone from English lower leagues or Ireland?

Michael Higdon and Lyle Taylor would be brilliant.

Until I see Leigh running about in some yellow top I'm not giving up hope. However we could do with a couple of 20 goals/season strikers on top of that. Remember stokes fletcher and Donaldson, goals goals goals. :greengrin God knows where we'll find them but I'm sure Pat knows. :pfgwa

Id say higdon is a possibility, hes out of contract. Depends who has been watching him!

Is Higdon possible?

More possible than Taylor who would command a fee of 250,000 plus. And if were spending that much I would imagine it would be on sparky

Scottish Cup finalists Hibernian are being linked with a potential move for Cliftonville striker Liam Boyce.

Hibs – who play Celtic in the showpiece decider on Sunday – are believed to be monitoring the 22-year-old Reds hitman.

Boyce bagged 36 goals last season as Cliftonville lifted the Irish Premiership title and League Cup.

He was also named Player of the Year by the Northern Ireland Football Writers.

Hibs are not the only club being linked with Boyce, with Shrewsbury also tracking the Northern Ireland international.

The English League One club scouted Boyce in January and boss Graham Turner is understood to be considering a renewed move for the player.
Boyce has one year remaining on his contract at Solitude.

Player from N.Ireland, but can't see Hibs paying 100,000 for him. Maybe a replacement for Doyle

Is Kuqi even still with us? lol. I would like big Higdon to sign for us. Ive always been a believer in a target man with a pacey striker playing off him.

Would to love to see Leigh back at Easter Road next season. He can score goals out of absolutely nothing and always confident from set pieces. Lyle Taylor would be perfect next to him. Quick, powerful and scores goals, him and Griffiths upfront would be amazing! :agree:

I really like the sound of Higdon and Leigh up top, I think they would be a brilliant partnership. Really do. Here's hoping.

Seemingly him and Leigh are gona partner up inside HRM finest. They are building a team around Ched Evans with Lee Hughes as manager :greengrin

I was interested to see what the difference was between Leigh's and Eoin's strike rates were for this season, so I checked.
Total games this season 44, which equals 3990 minutes played (ignoring added on time but including extra time in semi).

Leigh has played in 42 of these games and has been subbed 17 times, total minutes played 3627. Goals scored 28 = one ever 129.54 minutes.

Eoin has played in 39 games and has been subbed off 18 times and subbed on 9 times, he has played 2626 minutes. Goals scored 11 = one ever 238.73 minutes.

As an aside I noticed that Fenlon used a lot of subs over the season, 115 in total, that works out at an average of 2.61 per game.

Doyles strike rate wouldnt have been helped with him playing a winger most of the season.

Doyles strike rate wouldnt have been helped with him playing a winger most of the season.

It also wasn't helped by his horrific first touch.

I'd like to see a couple of players come in that can score with the head, currently when we get a corner we may as well just give the opposition the ball back.

That's where Duane's Tudor Home comes in.

The average subs may be 2.6 per game however it would be intersted to know the average time they had on the park. He makes subs far too late imo.

Don't forget we've also got a year's option on Kuqi's contract.

He could take the SPL by storm this season.

The avg' sub time was 73mins, there were 38 of the 115 subs made in the last 10 minutes of the game, but out of that 38 subs, 14 of them were when we were winning, so may have been used as time wasting or in an effort to shore up defence.
