Im just trying to date things.
When I first went to Easter Road, the only stand was the old one. There was the huge east terracing, the Dunbar End and the end that became the cave/cowshed.
Also, thinking about non Hibs and Scotland games played at Easter Road.
I can think of Ghana v South Korea (2006); a few Scottish Junior Cup semis and various League Cup semis.

Whitehill Welfare played Celtic in a Scottish cup tie in the 90,s. They put in a better performance than we did in the league that season I,m sure.

I was at that game too, I seem to remember we won 3-1. There was also the recent Scotland game at ER, when we came back from behind to beat Australia 3-1.

2005 I think. Sir Elton John v The Easter Road pitch.

Sir Elton won although the pitch took him to extra time.

The last post in that thread, saying that semi finals were not played at neutral venues before 1912, is quite interesting. It would offer a part solution for Hampden being unavailable next season. Although you would be running the risk that a club with a relatively small ground (say St Mirren) would be drawn to play a bigger club (say Celtic) at home.

I think it's fair to say there wouldn't be any risk of Celtic being drawn away from home in that situation!

Remember in the 70's being at a heaving ER for a Scotland v Holland U23..... Scotland lost on penalties....

IIRC there were over-age players allowed and Scotland had the John's Brownlie and Blackley playing

Was at that game great crowd. Pretty sure Joe Jordan was playing, he was magnificent from what I remember.

Scotland B v ?

I recall Steven Tweed and Pat McGinlay playing for Scotland. I have no recollection of the opponents though. I'm tempted to say Northern Ireland but its no more than a guess.

Pat might have even scored. Early 90s I think. Was still a bairn :greengrin

He loved playing against the easter road pitch that much, he then sowed some of it onto his head.

McGinlay represented Scotland B once, in a 3–0 win against Northern Ireland B at Easter Road in 1995.

Tweed played twice for Scotland at B international level in 1995, featuring in wins against Northern Ireland and Sweden. He scored 1 goal.

There was a B International against Northern Ireland (?) around 1995. Darren Jackson scored an absolute cracker that was never caught on camera. I think that Pat McGinlay may have played as well. Scotland won 3-0 if I recall correctly.
