View Full Version : Pint before the train Sunday early doors
Planning on getting a Train 11:00 or there abouts.
I hear Dianes pool hall could be an option, can anyone confirm if this is open early doors of a Sunday.
Or anywhere else round Haymarket.

Have a good breakfast and forget the pint, it's going to be a long session if we win.

Remember that there is engineering works at Falkirk High so you need to get the Glasgow Central or the via Airdrie train to Glasgow Queen St (Lower level).
I would recommend a breakfast / pint at standing order then hop on the train and you will reach Glasgow for opening time.

I thought the trains from Edinburgh are going to Queen Street as usual but not stopping at Falkirk High?
Cheers guys,
Got the breakfast sorted, Mrs Q has a FB megga pack ordered to scran before we set off.
Think I have the trains sorted.
Just need a place for a pint round Haymarket, any ideas or anyone know if Diane's is indeed open.

I would check on that first, as it's not how I remember it.
AFAIK, the trains are running OK on the main Glasgow-Edinburgh line, just not stopping at Falkirk High or Croy. That shouldn't affect anyone leaving from anywhere east of Falkirk.
UPDATE: The above information is correct, from the Official Site (http://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/news/20130522/cup-final-train-info_2262950_3187455)

8.00 or possibly 9.00 on a Sun for Diane's I'd give them a call to check which.

Sorry, I forgot the Central line didn't go all the way. I was sure I saw that works are happening at Falkirk High.

It used to be open early I know that for certain, things must have changed. I thought the early morning boozers and Jakeys were one and the same :greengrin

Only place you will likely get a bevvy will be Diane's. Spiders Web and Four in Hand not licensed at 0900 on a Sunday. Never have been.
