On Radio Scotland after 6pm.

There should be an article about it on their site afterwards.

(This is for everyone he's been involved with, rather than just Hibs players as per his book.)

Anyone just listen to Jim Jefferies' drivel? Comedy gold.

Not enough time to play it tonight thanks to Jefferies' myriad of moaning.

Anyone hear the great man's team selection on Sportsound from his days at Easter Road and that other place he finished his playing days at?
Ronnie Simpson
John Brownlie
Danny McGrain
John Blackley
John McNamee
Kenny Dalglish
Jimmy Johnstone
Willie Hamilton
Joe Baker
Alex Cropley
Bobby Lennox

Pretty good IMO - although he's too modest to put himself in there.:not worth

I couldn't believe what I read today ... Stanton wants us to win ... but won't be too unhappy if celtc do so. I know he finished his career there but c'mon Pat, that place was just a job!!

Basically a Hibs/Celtic combined XI from his playing career. Unbelievable modesty to leave himself out.

You can't pick yourself in the team, its the players you played with

How would Alan Rough or any Keeper pick a team? Pick the Best sub goalie he played with?

Pat was in great form talking about his ex team-mates. Great radio.

He was asked to pick the best team from players he had played with and chose the following.

I never saw Willie Hamilton or Big John McNamee, but from what I've heard they merited theiir place.

Pat's team was as follows

Ronnie Simpson.
John Brownlie
John Blackley
John McNamee
Danny M'Grain (At left back as he wouldn't have been selected in from of John B at right back)
Jimmy Johnstone
Willie Hamilton
Alex Cropley
Bobby Lennox
Joe Baker
Kenny Dalglish

Jock Stein manager.

Hard to argue with any of his choices.

:agree:
Shame he never found room for Alex Edwards though.
Stanton, Brownlie and Edwards was something of a holy trinity for me when I was wee.

Me too. I can still see the three of them attacking down the slope from the big terracing.
How Alex Edwards didn't win a cap is beyond me.
Still Jinky was some player as well to be fair.
I always maintain that was Cektics best ever team, even better than the Lions. It was just our bad luck that we were up against them. 5cup finals in 2 years and all against Celtic and we win 3 of them.
We were so far in front of Rangers at the time yet they managed to win the Cuo Winners Cup.
It was a great time to be a Hibby
