I always think our points total is pathetic after the split. Can any of the clever folk out there confirm if this is our best yet? (2 wins, 2 draws and a match to go)

I was thinking that last night. Don't we usually just fold after the split and lucky to get a win?

I'm sure one year we won our 1st 4 games then lost at home to Jags in final game.

Thanks for info. Knew it had to be up there- so best in 10 years. (To be fair other years may have been in top 6 so harder games) Just confirms we are usually awful after the split though.

Undoubtedly.

Based on those stats, avoid defeat on Saturday and it's our first unbeaten post split. Ever.

Another wee bit of credit for PF if it happens. Though granted it is probably easy to get performances out of players when there is no European place to chase, no relegation battle and cup final places up for grabs. First two have been features of other post split sequences and it may be more difficult to get performances from players when pressure is on.

This is probably the first post split where we have had something to play for (cup final places) but no pressure in terms of the league. Previously we have always had either something to chase or nothing to play for at all.

Yeah, at least this year we were only awful before the split! :greengrin

I'm not sure that is anything to write home about, to be honest, considering we're in the bottom six.

Bottom six this year to me except for Celtic would usually be the top six so going on this I believe we have exceeded our usual performances
