If one was to get the train through for the Final would Mount Florida be the station to get off at?

You can jump on a train at Central for Mount Florida. Experience from numerous Scotland games is they will have it well organised.

Wee tip as well if you are travelling from outwits Glasgow with scotrail ask for your ticket from your original station to Mount Florida and you'll save a wee bit.

Takes for ever by the time you travel through from Edinburgh (if that's where you're going from) walk from Queen Street to Central Station, probably queue to get on a train and travel through to Mount Florida. Probably looking at about two hours in total. Could be longer going back as everyone who travelled through to Mount Florida during the day will be in the same queue to return. Cheaper and easier if you could get yourself on a Hibs coach.

I'm only going by experience of going to Scotland games.

We usually grab a taxi from Queen street station or the Buchanan street. Not much more expensive if theres a group of you, means missing the queues at central and most importantly means more time in the boozer :aok:

They'll be running specials from central so train should only take 5 mins. Think the problem would be getting back to Edinburgh as everyone will be heading back at the same time. Good excuse to spend a couple of hours in the boozer though as you wait for the queue to go down. Had a good laugh in the pub across from Queen St after the semi :aok:.

There will be no trains to Glasgow central via Livy south and shotts. These trains take 90 minutes anyway. Edinburgh to queen st should be running at half hourly intervals. Also the Edinburgh to Helensburgh services will be running and these go via Livy nth and Bathgate and go to queen st low level.

Scotrail saying extra trains from Prestonpans next Sunday (for the marathon). Times, stops? Don't be daft that would be just too helpful. I expect it might just be extra capacity at the same intervals though.

Could really do with a 9am train to help the East Lothian fans avoid the road issues.

My experience is that you are usually cheaper to book to Glasgow and then rebook. This is because the Central-Mount Florida bit is within the Glasgow PTE area and the fares are cheaper than booking from outside..
