Firstly, we would like to thank you all for your continued support. We have been overwhelmed not only by the donations we received but the overall support towards the group. This does not go unrecognised and is really appreciated.

The Club have worked with the sponsor of the Scottish Cup, William Hill, to gain financial support for a display at the final. Similar to what they achieved with Crabbies last year. We learnt that William Hill have agreed to support this display financially via the club; however they will not be participating in the display whatsoever and this will be left down to us. Collectively as a group we were against any sort of ‘corporate’ display, especially one that would advertise Gambling to our supporters many of which would be under the age of 18. Therefore, we are pleased that William Hill has left us to it to work with our own suppliers, design our own display etc. In fairness to WH, they have been very cooperative with the club as WH wanted to ensure every seat had some form of card/flag on it for the final. Ultimately, they could easily have pulled the plug on our plans at any point, but thankfully they understood that Football is for us, the supporters.

As a result of the above it wouldn’t be right for the group to hold on to all of the donations (approx. £770) we have received, although there are some costs we will still incur, for example 60m of material, paints, brushes etc. Therefore, we have decided to donate a large percentage of the donations to the following causes:

£250 to Hibernian FC’s ‘Kicks for Kids’ foundation – a well supported campaign that the Club run.
£150 to St. Patrick’s Branch towards the Dan McMichael headstone fund – another outstanding project from the St. Pats lot. Details can be found on this forum.
£50 to Hibs.net & Hibeesbounce.com – two fans forums that have supported us from outset. These donations will help support the ongoing maintenance of the sites (cost of server/domain etc).

It would be near impossible to hand donations back to individuals for various reasons. A lot of donations came via cash and hand. A brief exchange and thank you, but we do not know who you all are or how to contact you. Various payments via bank transfer/PayPal with no reference/name to trace the individuals. In short, it would be extremely difficult; however we hope supporting the causes above will be accepted by those who chose to donate.

Next up – card rolling. We require approx 60 volunteers from Monday 20 May to help roll card in the East concourse from 5pm-10pm. We have over 18,000 sheets of card to roll prior to heading to Hampden; therefore we are using next week to complete this. The more volunteers available, the quicker this can be completed. If you are able to attend, please post below. The meeting point is West Stand Reception at 5pm sharp.

We will also be looking for volunteers to lay the card the Saturday before the game. We have organised a bus to take approx 50 volunteers through, although others are welcomed who can transfer by other methods of transport. All West of Scotland Hibbys are also encouraged to attend. More details to follow on this next week.

Finally, thanks for your continued support. We will try to answer any questions as quickly as possible.

Cheers,

Well done for everything you guys have done - you certainly have won over the support over the last 2 years and added something to the bigger and smaller occasions.

Any plans to take the big flags and lay them at the stadium maybe track side / behind the goal?

Also any ideas if William Hill are supporting Celtic or the Green Brigade have anything planned?

This is something that was bound to be raised, so, here is a wee suggestion. Wait until the teams are lined up before holding the display. that way we get to cheer them as they come out, but they can see the display when they shake hands.

Shouldn't be too difficult. Once the players are lined up we raise our cards. No more difficult than doing it when the teams come out i wouldn't think. Could also mean that the design is held longer whilst all the hand shaking goes on. If done when players come out most people want to clap and cheer so take the cards down early.

Thing about that is they (celtic fans) will no doubt start that walk on crap at this point with their scarf's. Would love to show them how it's done and out sing the bass from start till finish. Don't know it'll work if we're all under a bit of card though :dunno:.

I believe it is all finished mate. Wasn't there due to other volunteering commitments, but heard there's been a lot of rolling.

I heard that we have done more rolling than Snoop Dogg!

Was going to put 'and not the best type of rolling' but thought those of us that were that way inclined would latch onto the small pun

All card rolling has been completed. A truck will be taking the card over to Hampden on Friday, ready for everyone to lay it out on Saturday.

On behalf of Sect43, I would like to thank everyone who attended over the past 3 days. We couldnt of completed the task in such a short space of time without your help.

Was a pleasure to help out, although card rolling may seem dull to most people, when it's to help out you guys and help out the Hibees how can you be bored?

Do you have enough volunteers for Saturday?

Do you have enough volunteers for Saturday?

No such thing as too many volunteers, I'd think. The more people there are the quicker that it'll all be done.

Celtic fans - Green Brigade Display - taken from Twitter

.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ......

Cup Final Display Info
For Sunday's Cup final the Green Brigade have set up a display which requires the participation of the Celtic support.

This has been another time consuming effort which will hopefully be worth it come kick off time on Sunday.

Like all previous displays we ask that fans please wait until the teams start to emerge from the tunnel before using their materials and not before then.

The objective of the Tifo is for it to be in full flight when the players are walking out of the tunnel, hopefully giving them some extra inspiration like a few players commented on after the Barcelona Tifo last November.

Last season unfortunately at the league cup final the Tifo went too early and it was over and done with by the time the players came out. We need to avoid this at all cost.

Certain seats will have instructions on them along with different materials. These seats are crucial to the success of the Tifo. Please follow the instructions and play your part on the day.

There will also be materials that may be held aloft etc. This will only be for a few minutes and will not be on show when the teams kick off so we thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

Unfortunately due to a few issues going on just now we will not have a section as such at the game. Hopefully the full support plays their part and stands and sings for 90minutes and this urges the Bhoys on to a great double for the season.

Please pass this post around the Celtic forums and twitter, facebook etc.

Think they will be there but not all in the same section like home games.

I hope Sec 43 bring the drum - really was class at the semi the boy getting the crowd going.

Probably already been mentioned on this thread (yes I should read back but not going to now as I'm too excited) but I'm getting in cup fever mode so I've been thinking about displays etc. The card before a game looks amazing, but it feels like it is over in seconds, would be amazing if we utilized the card further and kept it for other parts of the game. E.g. when teams are being read out - therefore "Ben Williams" queue cheer from all fans as usual and card above head then back down....next player name read out......cheer + card back above head and back down. Same during songs - everyone doing the hibees bounce with a bit of card aloft like a sea of green and white bouncing up and down, continental or what!!!

Anyway, good luck to the troops putting out the card and well done for all the hard work that has been put in so that turkeys like me can just butt in on the forum and come up with ideas that have zero thought behind them. Again, well done to everyone who is trying to make this an unforgetable day for all Hibees young and old.

COMPETE Hibs!

Or a mass paper airplane throw at halftime :)

I would hope that said airplanes were directed at the lesser greens. Hopefully a few get some nasty paper cuts maybe even get the pointy end in the eye. Or am I hoping for too much?
