I've been going through old Hibs photos and found some I took at an ER exhibition in November 2005.

There were all sorts of bits and pieces given to the club by European opponents - loads of vases, a golden lion...

a smart-as-f*** Viking longship from Rosenborg...

All pretty cool stuff.

Then there's the one from Roma...

I take it this something to do with old Roman mythology?

More importantly, I wonder what we gave them? Imagine the Hibs guy's face handing over a nice vase and getting that creepy thing back. :greengrin

Cheers for answers, thread title can be changed to remove the question if admins so please.
Editing to add ICFC letter including thinly veiled criticism of "the Hearts" and the immortal line "I hope you are keeping free from the Asian Flu etc." -

Romulus and Remus were raised by wolves then Romulus went on to found Rome, according to the legend.

That's meant to be the wolf? Makes a lot more sense now!

Still seems shan compared to the effort Rosenborg put in, engraving the ship "RBK Hibernian."

Romulus and Remus, the guys in question.

I wonder what happened to things like contracts and other such stuff. I'm sure I asked one of the Hibs Trust guys and they said that a lot was just routinely chucked out in years past. I mean what would say a Gordon Smith contract be worth, in terms of historical value?

Nice photos though:-)

There's a photo of someone's old boots but I can't make out the info card. Also photos from Hibs in the Maracana and our reply to the original invitation to play in the ICFC.

Must admit many years ago, the yams had a great collection of souvenirs from various clubs that they have played in the past! But I was surprised when my Yam loving son done a tour of the wongadome and took this latest photo of the trophy cabinet....

Hearts were selling off all their stuff when the cake bakes were going on. Shameful **** :agree:

Go take a look in their Museum. Think we gave them a tin of shortbread.

Absolutely agree. Selling gear that has no real value for the sake of a few quid was a disgrace. Never even heard a Yam say a peep about it.
