We have been listening to them going on and on about how Hearts are now playing a team of youngsters, the average age of their staring line-up today was 25.09, where as we were playing a load of old crocks with an average age of 24.36. If you look at players 23 or younger (what I consider as youngsters) they started with four while we had six.

Who said you will not win anything with youngsters?

A lot of people congratulating our youth players today (and rightly so) so decided to work out the average age of the team, (sad I know) It was a little over 24, which with a 34 year old Alan Maybury is pretty impressive. Gary Locke claimed hearts' loss was down to youthfulness and inexperience. However when I worked out their average age, was interesting to see theirs was just over 25, with no real standout oldie. So much for "The best youths to come through in years" or whatever that deluded bunch are claiming
