All superb today I thought. No tackle shirked and when they got the ball on the deck it was generally pretty good.

Taiwo was outstanding. Claros was his usual and Thomson see passes other players can't.

They all contributed.

All 3 were excellent. Harris was great in the first half (quieter in the second) but what a talent he is.

Taiwo- Engine is superb and his combativeness is excellent.
Claros- See Taiwo, but his ball playing today was class also.
Thomson- Composed as you like, his control and reading of the game was excellent throughout.

Claros and Thomson need kept.

The midfield 4 of Harris, Taiwo, Thomson and Claros, will start the final if all are fit

I agree really strong, can tackle and pass with Harris the one to run at them.

All had good games. Thomson needs to get involved more but I dont think it helped him being played wide left.

I think we will probably see a 5 man midfield at the cup final:

Debatable who takes the 5th spot but possibly

Harris Claros Thommo Taiwo Stevenson (If McGiven is back)

Thought Claros was MOM today btw - he is a class act

That was the big difference today. Apart from maybe the first ten minutes in the first half we totally bossed the midfield. The other difference is that w e got most of the decisions called correctly and and as a result went on to win the game. There was only one team in it.

Happy happy happy. Anyway I'm just leaving the pub now to go home and open the windows and put my Proclaimers CD on full blast.

Taiwo was superb, especially after taking a sneaky knee to the face by that little cant McHattie.

Great balance in that midfield. Would never have put Thomson left mid but he was excellent.

Really like Taiwo's work rate and I'm glad he's proved the minority who didn't rate him wrong. It's been a long time since we had a strong midfield, especially in derbies, and hopefully we keep these players past the end of this season to keep continuity with what is a very good midfield :agree:

Great to see us put out a midfield that wont be bullied but can also keep the ball on the deck and pick out a pass.

Credit to all of them, Taiwo and Claros in particular did brilliantly and Thomson did really well out of position.

I have to say though Harris has made such a difference. Having some in the midfield who is direct and runs at players is what we've been crying out for all season.

Seriously? Best midfield unit performance in a derby since Brown and Thomson were running the show.

All 4 are confident and composed and certainly weren't going to be pushed around by that lot.

I'd extend Taiwo's contract right now.
