I would "rest" some players for this game, or should I say "protect" them as I genuinly believe those hammer-throwers will deliberately try and clog our lads prior to the forthcoming s/c final.
So..........with that in mind, I would pick the following team :-

.......................Williams................

Maybury......McGivern.....Hanlon....Stephenson

...........Claros................Thomson.......

Wotherspoon..........Taiwo...........Harris

.......................Caldwell..................

Whilst no derby is meaningless, in the circumstances, I think the more inmortant game for us is on 26th of this month.

Williams, Maybury, McPake, Hanlon, McGivern, Handling, Taiwo, Claros, Thomson, Harris, Griffiths.

This, as long as Maybury doesn't help the yams to score..

Exactly.

Coming to through the youth system can help or hinder a player when it comes to the fans. Early on he is 'one of our own' so he is brilliant, standards set far too high, he doesnt quite reach the heights, then he is *****.

His confidence took a battering for a few years but he has come back stronger and I think we have been better with him in the team.

Williams

Maybury Donaldson Hanlon Stevenson

Wortherspoon Claros Deegan Done

Handling Caldwell

A B-team, with youngsters who deserve a game or need to play as many games as possible. As i think hearts will be out to kick our lads off the ball with the cup final due, I dont even want sparky, harris, KT, Mcpake on the bench.

Not sure about the line-up but i would play all the youngsters (excluding Griffiths) to give them a game including the younger lads like Horribine. They are proving they are good young players.

Like another said, no derby is meaningless but have to think of 26th and giving younger lads a chance to show what they are capable of in games that have less value as next season we could be turning to a few of them!

Plus they will be pumped up so will give that lot a run about!
