Hey folks,

Just about to arrange my travel to the final but thought i'd check if there is a bus running from Aberdeen with a couple of free spaces on it?

I am unaware of any bus going down. hibs.net ran one to the semi final last year but that was a one off. There will be plenty going down on the train though.

Got tickets on trainline £14 return from Dundee. Might still be deals on the site.

If a bus does get organised from Aberdeen I would be interested.

Just as a guide, when hibs.net ran the bus from Aberdeen for last year's semi final it cost £700 and only pulled in £500 in fares.

would it have worked with £27, £18 and kids £17 and £14? Would imagine we would get all last years punters and a few extra.

I know train prices to the Weeg are competitive but who wants all that hassle with another 45 mins each way winding through the smellies

It would only work if it left Aberdeen nearly full due to the high cost of hiring a bus up there. There have been various attempts made over the years to run buses from Aberdeen both on a regular and one off basis. ( There was one that ran back in the early nineties though I think that was self drive . One of those who used to travel on it can confirm or correct that.). Quite simply getting enough people to move from the 'we want a bus stage' to actual commitment has proved difficult.
It's a while since there was a pre-season gathering in Aberdeen to try and get something sorted again. That'a something to bear in mind for be start of next season.

Cheers for the feedback guys,

I think with more planning and if we could garuntee everyone would commit it would be ideal but i think megabus will do at this short notice!

Maybe next year when we look to defend our title :greengrin
