Was just having a wee look back out of curiosity - we are currently on 5 home defeats with one game left at ER, so I thought I'd see how this compared to other years: -

2011-12 - 10
2010-11 - 8
2009-10 - 6
2008-09 - 6
2007-08 - 4
2006-07 - 4
2005-06 - 7
2004-05 - 6
2003-04 - 8
2002-03 - 8

Our home record is a pretty perfect reflection of how our season has turned from very good to extremely disappointing (league wise), prior to NY it was: -

P 11 W 6 D 2 L 3

Since January it has been: -

P 7 W 0 D 5 L 2

However, we certainly aren't the walkovers that we used to be at ER, and there have been a few games there that we should have won, whilst I can't recall many where we were lucky to take the points. Of all the home defeats I would say that it was only the St. Johnstone 3-1 game that we were really horrendous in, though the Caley and Ross County defeats were horrible to watch despite being narrow defeats.

Hopefully we can kick on again next season. We have shown in a number of games since the Dunfermline game last season that ER has an electric atmosphere when the place is rocking.

Very interesting.

Does show signs that we have improved this year though don't think there has ever been any real doubt. We were so poor last year it was almost impossible not to imporve. Our post New Year record is shocking though and suggests something is not right.

3 league wins out of 22 since mid November.

2 league wins out of 19 since early December

1 league win out of 14 in the calendar year 2013.

Whatever way you slice it is not good and flys in the face of those saying all was rosy in the first half of the season. In truth we have enjoyed a good first third of the season and have been garbage since.

The cup run should be credited but also noted that, while being the bettr of two poor sides on each occasion, we enjoyed some luck against Hearts and Abderdeen, benefitted from some poor defending v Killie and probaly get less than half marks overall v Falkirk given we were 3 down to a mid table Div 1 team at halftime. Massive credit for the comeback though.

Do you have stats on wins in the same period as you have on defeats?

That was quick! Both your stats show just how good seasons 04/05, 05/06, 06/07 and 07/08 were. Indeed in that whole period from 04/05 - 09/10, only really 08/09 sticks out as not being that great and even then we were still top 6. To think we used to do quite a lot of whinging during those seasons too. If only we knew what was in store for a couple of seasons from 10/11 onwards, we would have been more grateful and enjoyed the "good" times more.

:agree:

It's also shown that changing manager when we think we should be doing better doesn't guarantee improvement, unfortunately.

A lot at stake for Pat in the next transfer window.

Me too . I still think that only winning 6 games out of 18 aint to hot though.
