1-1 between Motherwell and Celtic at half time.

Hooper put Celtic in front a few minutes ago but Ojamaa's just equalised with a good effort.

Put a few bets on today including Motherwell and Celtic both to score - still need a few others for that accumulator to come in.

Also thought Man United at 5/2 seems generous odds to beat Arsenal.
Can't imagine Man U taking the foot off the gas a great deal.

Penalty for Motherwell.

2-1, Higdon.

Not good enough for Celtic though.

:giruy: Lennon.

That motherwell team is brilliant. 2-1 against Celtic. They would be closer to the top if they had been together at the start of the season.

3-1. Brilliant OG.

Shows with a bit of luck and really having a go at Celtic they aren't unbeatable.

So true. I hope PF is watching Motherwell pressing.

Oh, and a couple of hefty clouts on Lusty early on should help.

That's set to change in the summer. All their key players look to be off.

So is ours. We badly need to improve defensively or we will just struggle.

It is probably the case a few of their good players will leave. Shows it can be done though by picking the right manager who in turn knows a player and how to mould a team. Doesn't look like the hibs board can pick the right man though. Think McCall was available when we appointed cc. Wonder where we would be now if we had gone for him. Fenlon out McCall in! In fairness, McGhee and Brown had done a lot of good work before McCall went there. Their only disaster recently has been Jim Gannon and they got rid of him quick. Fenlon came into two managers' worth of disasters in the 2.5 years before he got the job.

Wonder what excuse Lennon will have this time? it will be someone else's fault no doubt

Celtic are rank at the back and we have every chance in the final to exploit it

Thing I don't understand is that both teams must win to avoid relegation for another week.

A 0-0 draw relegates them both today!

Surely they should go for it!

That squad has been pretty settled and built over time. I don't think it much to do with picking McCall.

FT 1-1. Utd can't overtake chelski's record points tally of 95 now but more importantly, two big points dropped by the gooners.

If Arsenal win their remaining three games, all against bottom five teams, then they're in the top 4 unless Tottingham beat Chelski at Chelski and Chelski beat Manchester U at Manchester U and Tottingham and Chelski win all their other games. So I don't think Wenger'll be too unhappy with a point.

Agreed and I hope the Gooners come through.
And even if Wenger isn't so unhappy with the point, I bet he still feels like booting Sagna's baws up and down Avenell Road.

Their defence is def their weak spot. Really hope we can do enough to put them under pressure in the final.

Most of that team were brought into that team by McCall . To say its not much to do with him is just daft.

Agree on your comments about the squad being fairly settled but that's not all of what it is about. To say their success has not had much to do with McCall is a bit harsh. He has been there 2.5 years and done better than any of the other managers immediately before him.

Randolf, Saunders, Hammell, Hutchison, Hately, Humphries and Lasley were all there before McCall but have most have played the majority of their football at Motherwell under him. I think he deserves particular credit for the careers of Saunders, Hutchison and Hately who are all aged 22/23and will have developed immensely in McCall's 2.5 years there.

Added to that lot he has signed Law, Ojamma, Higdon, Higginbottom and McFadden who have all been sucesses as well as coping well with the loss of a quality player like Jamie Murphy. I'd say their sucess has had quite a bit to do with McCall.

I think what you are angling at is that you believe Fenlon's management record at Hibs can't be compared with McCall's at Motherwell. Put it this way, how many Motherwell fans would swap McCall for Fenlon and how many Hibs fans would be interested in the swap?
