Might be wrong on this, but I believe this is the first time in the club's history that it has reached the Scottish Cup final two years on the bounce, never mind under the same manager.

Fenlon should be given legend status for that achievement alone.

In one of the interviews the questioner said we did it in the 1920s.

Who was the last team outside Celtic and oldco to make 2 consecutive finals? My cousin thinks dundee utd did it in the 80s, but were they the last?

Done it in the 20s with the same gaffer didn't they? Lost to Celtic and Airdrie in the respective finals?? One for our resident historians.

The yams maybe. After all they've got a "special relationship" with this cup have they not?

Seems Dundee Utd did it twice in the 80's and Aberdeen also made 4 out of 5 during that time.

It appears that our record v Celtic in the Scottish Cup could not really be regarded as 'barry'. The only time we've beaten them in a final is...well, you know when...

Same manager for both of them too - Alex Maley, younger brother of the Willie Maley that Celtic supporters sing about.

We've only ever beaten Celtic twice in the Scottish Cup*, in 1902 and in the 4-3 game in 1986.

*We did beat them a third time in 1890something, but they appealed, and beat us in a re-arranged game.
