Long overdue :agree:

The issue I would like to see addressed now is how players / managers respect refs.

Would like to go down the rugby way - being able to hear decisions if watching on TV - would make interesting viewing and prove more clarity.

I haven't read up too much on the actual technology used, but based on the opening part of the BBC article, I think there will be scenarios that maybe the cameras won't be able to catch - "Hawk-Eye uses seven cameras per goal to detect the ball and claims its system is "millimetre accurate, ensuring no broadcast replays could disprove the decision".

As I said, I don't know the exact placement of all 7 cameras, but if there was a 'strammash' on the goal line, and the ball was under a couple of legs and the keepers body, could you honestly tell?

I think it will prove to be a major step to avoiding doubt, but interesting to see it actually deployed in a game.

Definitely agree about the Rugby comment. Would love to see Referee's talking to the players more, and being able to hear some of that on the TV.
