I'm planning to take the car through next weekend. First time I'll have driven to Hampden - normally get the train or a supporter's bus. I'm sitting in C5 of the North stand. Can anyone recommend the best place to park?

Thanks in advance!

I presume your going along the M74 extension and taking the Polmadie turn off? I would suggest you take the road at this junction, past Asda and Toryglen football centre/Esso petrol station, and try and park in the area's with on street parking in the housing area. Many of the streets around Hampden have introduced permit parking on match day, so be careful.
Suggest you get parked early anyway!

It's actually quite residential around the Kings Park area

Used to park on Fintry Dr, looks like an extra 5 mins walk's required if this in force.

Can't taking kids and picking brother up on way. Having parked locally numerous times (with no issue as I also go several hours in advance and lunch / breakfast first) had no idea that things were being changed...will just go to closest point it does not apply and walk...its why the good Lord gave me legs :greengrin

My friend parked on Allison Street last year for a Scotland game, was hoping someone could recommend somewhere on the East side, but I think I'll just head for there. I don't think it seems to be affected by the restrictions.

Yep thats where I will be heading in that area which should be quicker to get back onto M74 after. At Aberdeen semi parked in the sports centre however wouldnt recommend though was ok last year.

Dixon Avenue is just one street down and there are lots of side streets there and it is nearest north stand about 10-15min walk, I would park there also good access back onto motorway. I myself will be walking as not far from Hampden.

I have never had a problem with parking at asda when at hampden just pop in to the store buy something then you have parking (dont be tempted to buy beer) as the police have a habit hiding to nab you drinking on the street !!!!!!

At the semi last year we parked on a side street near the international. Will that be affected by the above document?

I'm not getting that map.

King's Park Avenue, which is where I normally park, looks to be in the new Controlled Zone.

Anyone know if the parking restrictions are in force on a Saturday (probably yes), and if there is a maximum stay?

At car park entrance opposite is queens park ave just go up there it leads onto queen mary ave which is a big wide road with large houses and usually lots of parking. 3min walk saves you £5 and if not happy you can just head to car park.
