I personally find it quite disgusting that a club like Real Madrid would receive any kind of aid considering their club wealth.

If found guilty, any club alleged to have benefited from state aid can be banned from European competition.

It's an interesting notion as where do you draw the line of financial aid from state and how many clubs have received financial assistant in some shape or form be it from local councils or wider government.

Real were given a huge boost when the Madrid local authority(I think)paid a grossly inflated fee for their training ground so that Real could reduce debts.Keep your eye on Edinburgh Council over the next few years-although I see Hearts biggest supporter on the council(Tom Buchanan)has unfortunately died.

Yep, I don't know how much more information they need going by that deal. I'm sure they got about 200 million did they not?

I found this.

Does anyone know if they built the state of the art facilities or was that just BS?

A couple of other reports say that that the city rezoned the city lines to make the site worth more before it was purchased. Mental.

I've seen varying figures of 170-400 million pounds.
