Anyone see the NCAA basketball yesterday? One of the worst injuries I have ever seen in a sports game.

See here: http://www.sportsgrid.com/ncaa-basketball/kevin-ware-injury/

WARNING, The video is pretty graphic, so don't watch if you are squemish.

What's the worst injuries you have ever seen in a game, live or on tv? I remember playing in a rugby match at uni and a guy broke his leg just above his ankle and dislocated the ankle which meant that his leg was bent just above the shin, and also his foot was dangling pointing the wrong way. The guy asked how bad it was and one of my team mates told him not to worry as it was just a sprain.....

I heard about it but i dont want to spoil my easter eggs feast later so im not watching. Im a bit squeamish about leg breaks.

The one i hated was Lawrence Taylor squishing Joe Thiesmans leg in an NFL game in the mid 80s.

Saw it earlier. That was a shocker. He got amazing support on twitter.

Don't want to watch it but I heard about it from a friend in the US who was watching it - sounded pretty horrendous.

So innocuous too based on the description (blocking a jump shot?).

He jumped to block a 3-pointer and when he landed his leg just snapped, didn't even look like he landed with that much force as he was only a couple of feet off the ground.

David Busst of Coventry (i think) is one of the worst I can remember.

Sure Peter Schmeichel was sick on the pitch after seeing it.
