View Full Version : Online Semi Final Tickets-Booking Fee or Not ?

Reading the other Semi Final tickets thread I noticed that quite a few people were buying tickets with no booking fee (£1.50 per ticket) incurred while others were getting charged.
Something isn't right here. I'm pretty sure last year when Season Tickets were getting advertised the offer was that no booking fees would be charged for away games tickets bought online (no need to buy home game tickets online as you have a season ticket). A Semi Final at Hampden isn't a home game so the "no booking fee" perk should be applied.
Surely the levy of the charge or not should be consistent across the season ticket database ?

Can someone create a poll so we can see the split of who has been charged a booking fee and who hasn't ?

For the record, I tried to buy a large number of tickets for our group but was going to get charged £1.50 each so cancelled the purchase as will get them at the ticket office next Saturday before the ICT game instead.

I wasn't charged for 5 I bought yesterday but was charged £6 for 4 I bought this morning.

Honestly think it's just pot luck. I've said it before but sometimes Hibs need to give Ticketmaster a boot up the erse.

I thought the no booking fees applied to Early Bird renewals only. I am probably wrong though.

I have a half ST and haven't renewed yet and I didn't pay a booking fee. I thought no fee for away games applied to all ST holders.

New ST who took up the offer to go the remaining matches this season.

1 adult, 1 OAP and 1 child paid by debit card and to be collected.

£4.50 booking charge applied. Straight to ticketmaster!

Perhaps not the technical solution :greengrin.....but the sentiment is bang on......:agree:

I emailed the ticket office yesterday (Sat) asking if they could explain why some were charged a booking fee and others not. I await their reply.

I renewed my season ticket as soon as it was announced but the online site wanted to charge me an extra £6 for 4 tickets

2 north stand tickets, no delivery pick up tickets at ER, paid by credit card, £3 booking fee paid. I think it will be with getting unlimited tickets. They will lose out big time if ST holders buy loads of tickets up with no booking fee so have dropped the privilledge. Should be the same for all though.

Do Hibs get any of the booking fee, or does that go to Ticketmaster?

The money will go to Hibs, but a lot of it would be earmarked for the costs incurring for Ticketmaster operating the system etc.

In last years ST booklet it's says that all ST holders will have NO booking fees for SPL away games - nothing about cup games - don't understand why folks are not getting charged the fee.

I'm going to assume it's a blunder by Ticketmaster, nearly always incompetent when I've gone through them for Hibs tickets. The website talked of a recent upgrade to the system so maybe a consequence of that.

Not complaining this time though, 7 tickets bought with no booking charge.

If you get a reply please share it with us cos it ain't right that some get no booking fee while others are paying largeish amounts in group bookings.
Cheers.

If the money was going to hibs I'd prob not bother, but to be charged £12 to buy £8 tickets is a bit cheeky.

Being charged £1.50 to order a £5 child ticket is pretty shocking!

Good stuff.
The Ticket Office probably don't even realise that this is an issue.

I've avoided the booking fee as a ST kindly got my tickets today - but I have paid £23 for kids' tickets for the North Stand for the better view/atmosphere.

In that case the club should look at renegotiating their deal to bring them in line with other clubs then.

Slightly off subject but would anyone have any idea why I'm getting this message? It only shows up on the cup game, no problems on Celtic or Inverness tickets. Also, I'm a ST holder.

WE'RE SORRY!
Unfortunately, this time you don't have the correct privileges on your account to purchase tickets for this match. Why not return to ticket home and try another match?
