Andy Murray had a good win earlier tonight against Bernard Tomic, 6-3 6-1. He will now take on Grigor Dimitrov in round three.

With no Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal this week, Murray really should be looking to make the final where he will surely play Novak Djokovic. Can't see either of them losing before the final.

Andy Murray is about to start his match against Grigor Dimitrov.

Live coverage on Sky Sports 2.

Murray wins the first set on a tiebreak, after being 5-2 down.

Dimitrov just collapsed and his whole game went to pieces after he went 5-2 up. Various double faults and poor errors.

Not great so far by Murray but a very even match.

Better in the second set.

Murray wins 7-6 6-3 and now plays Andreas Seppi in the last 16.

Good win for Murray tonight over Seppi who looked out his depth. He will now face Cilic who beat Tsonga in the 1/4s. BTW what did Murray write on the lens after the last round?

Bad defeat for nole to haas. Opens it up for Murray to be world no 2. Also gives berdych a great shot at a masters title

When is Andy's next match?

Sir David Gray

When is Andy's next match?

Tomorrow.

First two quarter finals are today (Melzer v Ferrer and Haas v Simon) and the other two are tomorrow (Murray v Cilic and Berdych v Gasquet).

Cannot believe the result with Tommy Haas last night!

I believe he's the oldest man to beat the world number one for about 30 years.

It certainly opens things up for Murray, really can't see him not winning the tournament now, which will then take him to world number 2 again.

I don't expect him to have any problems in beating Marin Cilic and then I don't see either Berdych or Gasquet beating him in the semis.

He'll probably face David Ferrer in the final and I don't see him causing him too many problems either.

'Mon the Muzza! :aok:

If he's not on at 7pm then it'll be on at around 1am on Friday morning, our time.

I would have thought that Murray might be the night match so you might be ok.

Ferrer wins the second set, 6-3.

It's into a decider.

Not much a match in the end as Ferrer slaughtered Melzer 6-0 in the third set and he'll now play either Tommy Haas or Gilles Simon in the semi finals.

Solid win for Murray tonight and safely into the semis.

He plays the winner of Tomas Berdych and Richard Gasquet, who start their match in about half an hour.

Think Berdych will win that one although I can't see him beating Murray.

Really looking forward to the Tommy Haas v David Ferrer match tomorrow. They are the first semi final up tomorrow at about 7pm and the Murray match will be on at about 11pm tomorrow.

If Haas plays like he has against Djokovic and Simon in the previous two rounds then he has a great chance, although Ferrer will be a very tough opponent, he rarely misses a ball and just chases everything down.

I would like to see Haas reach the final though.

First set to Gasquet, 6-3.

Sir David Gray
28-03-2013, 11:53 PM
Gasquet wins 6-3 6-3 to reach only his 3rd semi final in either a Grand Slam or Masters event in over 5 years.

The semi final line up for tomorrow is;

David Ferrer v Tommy Haas
Andy Murray v Richard Gasquet

Just a quick heads up for anyone looking to watch the tennis tonight.

Tommy Haas v David Ferrer starts in about half an hour and Andy Murray v Richard Gasquet is on at 11pm.

Both matches are live on Sky Sports 2.

Sir David Gray

First set went to Tommy Haas, 6-4, before David Ferrer hit back by winning the second set, 6-2.

Haas has just broken Ferrer at the start of the decider but is struggling to hold onto his own serve in the second game of the set.

Haas serving at 1-0 up and it's deuce at the moment.

Sir David Gray
29-03-2013, 08:13 PM
Ferrer wins 4-6 6-2 6-3 in approximately 2 hours.

He'll now play either Andy Murray or Richard Gasquet in Sunday's final.

Murray wins 6-7 6-1 6-2.

Never really in doubt after he started to take control of the second set and Gasquet started to lose his composure and struggled physically as well.

Murray's record on hard court is good against Ferrer , but DF has had a great start to the season.

Two of the best returners in the game but i gotta fancy Murray to win it.

Personally don't see Ferrer having enough to beat Murray tomorrow. Ferrer's a great player but he's really the best player out of what I would call the second group of players, i.e. outside of the top four. He's really not good enough to beat the likes of Murray, except on clay, and I don't expect him to have too many problems tomorrow.

Just a mention for the women's final earlier today.

Serena Williams beat Maria Sharapova, despite losing the opening set.

Williams was 4-6 2-3 down on her own serve when she then reeled off 10 games in a row!

She won her 6th Miami Masters title and in doing so, consigned Sharapova to her 5th Miami Masters final defeat.

Some of her play in that final set was frightening.

Was listening on the radio. Sounded like he made it difficult for himself at times.
Weather conditions wouldn't have helped though.

World number 2! Brilliant! Makes draws easier going into clay season hopefully.

Not a great match but a very important victory for Murray today.

On days when you're not at your best, it's about getting over the line and getting the win under your belt and Murray's managed that.

He's up to 2nd now and his target should be to stay there and then to challenge Djokovic for the number 1 spot over the coming months.
