Italy have done pretty well but they are 2-0 down. Is the style Italy play - balls over the defence similar to what Fenlon is trying to achieve? Total contrast to the wing play/defence splitting pass by Brazil.

Is that a synthetic surface? The way the balls bounced a couple of times and the condition for this time of year makes me think it is, although it does like a bit "muddier" in the middle. Either that or my tv is on the blink! :hi:

One of the best goals you will see from super Mario, great strike. 2-2

Being played in Geneva in Servette's stadium. Not astro as far as I can make out.

After performance at the Euro's and in recent fixtures, I'm very pleased with the job Prandelli's doing and the number / quality of youngsters coming through. Think we'll have a chance in Brazil and definitely in the mix for 2016.

to be fair we didnt expect to even qualify for the euros never mind get as far as we did. Prandelli has had to replace most of the team with youngsters and done an excellent job imo.

Agreed. If you take Spain out the equation, there's some exciting young teams emerging i.e. Germany, Italy, Belgium, Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay.....and quite a few more.

Looked very much like a grass pitch that was laid a week ago. Some strange bounces on it where the ball died. Imagine the pitch was probably a mess recently and the club didnt want to be slated for Brazil and Italy playing on a mud heap so they put new pitch down.

Spain at the moment to me are untouchable, play the passing game but they also have resources in strikers to use the possesion to turn into goals.

Like you said, a lot of exciting young teams and maybe now people will stop saying Italy are defensive?!
