That's the first time I've seen the home leg on TV. Got the entire away leg on VHS with French commentary somewhere. My first of dozens football trips.

Also, what a classic strip the Anderlecht one was. Still got that tucked away in the loft at my parents house as well.

Fantastic memories!

Great memories! Anderlecht has been my one & the only foreign trip to watch the Hibs.

I remember leaving ER on the supporters bus at midnight, for an 18 hr journey! Well worth it though.

A brilliant game at ER and superb two legged tie - the atmosphere at Easter Road that night was crackling. God I feel old after watching that again.

Diving gits.

That was my first European game.

Among many fond memories of an epic away trip to return leg.
Discussion with bar personnel on ferry just before leaving.
"Sorry no alcohol served before sailing"
"Do you serve coffee?"
"Yes."
"Well can I have three Irish coffees?"
Setting up base in a cafe owned by a Souness lookalike, and spending a couple of hours chanting Alex Miller's green and white army.(Honest!!!)
A Hibs support singing constantly before throughout and well after time up at the game.

Happy days.

Great footage. I had forgot how bad the ref was that night. The away leg was the only time I travelled to a European game. Great game of about 100 a side just before getting on the ferry. Welcome fresh air as our bus was filled with vomit fumes and odour a block toilet about 10 miles ouitside Edinburgh. Desperately unlucky over the two legs

Thought I had gone to the top of Interpol's most wanted list after doing a runner from a PizzaHut in central Brussels! Stayed in the Brussels Hilton which was full of tv crews covering the game, many thanks to the concierge who sent us to a 24hr pool hall just round the corner, what a day/night/morning!

Mickey's second yellow was a farcical decision.......

The away leg was amazing, the celebrations when we scored will stay with me forever.......
