Bad news first. Normal train travel to Queens Street will be disrupted due to engineering works, a bus service is operating between Edinburgh and Falkirk Grahamston, then by train to Queen Street. The journey will take up to 2 hours.
Good news, the Helensburgh train departs Edinburgh as normal going via the Bathgate line to Queen Street lower level, and takes 1hr 15.
Departing 09.38 and on the hour after that, arriving Queen Street 10.53. The Kilmarnock train departs Glasgow Central at 11.12, and on the hour after that. As far as I am aware, there is no alcohol restrictions tomorrow, at least on the first part of the journey.

No need to take a chance, trains are running to Helensburgh Via Queen Street. Do not take the Queen Street replacement bus service, due to engineering works at Falkirk / Polmont, or it will take almost 2 hours. I'm away to get ready for the 09.47 departure from Edinburgh Park.
