Breakfast & pint(s) in The Counting House then train from central @ 13:12 to Kilmarnock. Few tins for the train and then a Casual walk to the ground.

Apparently you're not allowed to drink alcohol on trains at all in the Strathclyde area these days. I was told so by the guy checking tickets on my train from Central to St Mirren on Saturday.

I was fine when I went to Motherwell and also when I went to St Mirren. To be honest it is a 40/50min journey so if I get on and they do not allow it I am sure I can wait and grab a pint in Kilmarnock.

The conductor said there was a blanket ban in Glasgow (i.e. no alcohol full stop). Maybe he just didn't like me, and/or my drinking?

Both I reckon! I've seen the 'after 9pm' thing advertised before which I think applies to everything on ScotRail and not just Strathclyde?

As in "No alcohol at any time."

Don't know if either of them were playing at home when we were at St Mirren but if any of the infirm are playing then there's a complete ban on alcohol in the strathclyde area. Anyhow, is Killie even in Strathclyde .

First time travelling through to Rugby Park and first time driving to an away game instead of getting a train/bus. Anyone know where is best to park near Rugby Park and a pub on the way to the ground for a sneaky pint?
