It's been good without being hilarious until the debate in the last episode which was brilliant.
The books are superb, especially "the hero of dundee"

Horrendous. Can't remember anything as unfunny since the last Only An Excuse.

The Radio Scotland show on his emails can be very funny occasionally.

The moral to the story is: Cast Jonathan Watson in something and mediocrity shall follow.

Cringeworthy at times.

Interesting thoughts. For me, it is Brian Cox that makes the show. I agree it verges on silly, but his performance as a clown, carries the show. I also think you have to get Dundonian humour as well.
I can see I am out of line in thinking that Watson is an excellent foil for big Bren. When he asked if BBC Dundee was where they film Top of the Pops I was in stitches.

I really don't know what to make of it. Brian Cox is very, very good, but the show doesn't always work for me.
The books are excellent though. 'Delete this at your peril' in particular.

The final episode was disappointing. I think they ran out of stuff.
