Scary stuff. Mexican authorities are selling the country as safe whilst drug cartels are are running amock and appear to be moving into areas of the country they'd hitherto avoided.

i was meant to be going to mexico city for A State of Trance 600, but I was advised to avoid it at all costs. :confused: that was enough for me to change my mind.

I'm going in November. Even if the travel company offered me all my money back I wouldn't cancel.

I know a guy who goes to Mexico every year with his young family. Loves the food, the culture, the sun, the sea and the prices which are dirt cheap. It's a big country with plenty to see and do.

Can happen anywhere. About 20 years ago a friend of mine was in holiday in the Caribbean. They were targeted and a gang broke into where they were staying and robbed them. The gang then tied everyone up and raped the men while holding guns on the women and forcing them to watch. Even though it was nearly 20 years ago, given the choice, I'd go to Mexico.
