Exactly.

Plus, as Craig points out, it was live on TV on a night where the weather was pretty awful.

Doing a comparison, per head of population, it's probably the equivalent of us getting 10-11k for a similar live midweek game.

a cold wednesday night before most peoples pay day in January - they had a couple of perfectly good Saturday's free during the winter break to give football to the fans.. dont blame either sets of fans, just can't decide if the winter break is that good an idea. Can never tell what the weather is going to do but surely squeezing games in midweek isnt the answer.
