Think it is still quiet(ish) Bu the scenery looks terrific..Has 6 beaches too :cb... Not wanting it pumping with music and heaving with teenagers every night but then not wanting it like a ghost town..Bit inbetween will do:thumbsup:

Took the bus there a good few years ago. Stunning scenery, especially from the monastery. Took a motor boat in to the bay three years ago and it pretty much looked the same as all those years ago.

Tough choice. I love the Greek islands but I love Egypt too. Never been to the red sea resorts, have only been to visit the tombs and temples a couple of times. Too much to see and do in Egypt that I need to go back again.

Anyone visiting Corfu should take a look at Mouse Island near to Corfu Town. Take a walk out on the causeway and wait for a plane to come overhead to land at the airport. The causeway is close to the end of the runway (which sticks out in to the water) and you can almost touch the planes. Well worth recording on a camera or phone.

just got back late tues night, our hotel was nice, on the side of the hill so the view was cracking, bit of a walk to the main sandy beach but there was a smaller stone beach nearby, not much to do in the place apart from a monastery (which is lovely) as its tiny so would advise hiring some form of transport or like us getting the bus, we were all inclusive but if not going all inclusive there are a lot of restaurants all around the village. All in all a good holiday. And it was roasting
we took the bus to corfu town which is really nice and lots to see and hundreds of shops which kept the other half happy, so many historical/religious buildings,we also went to aqua land which was good fun and could easily have went back, corfu airport is a bit of a disaster when in departures but everyone eventually got on the plane

Aye was barry mate..Roasting hot and spent alot of time int apartments sun lounger coz it had a big pool and a bar..
See what you mean about the trek to the beaches..We climbed up to the monastray which was awesome..Went on boat tour to the caves.Amazing blue water!.
Plenty eating places and food was great..Not the most liveliest of places but we knew that..Just loved the sun and roaminf about all day.
The motorbikes are just bizzare!!! no one wears a crash helmet and the polis dont care...It truly is a different world.
Corfu town was great lots of shops and kept the wife happy...Bus was air condition and made the 40 minute journy comfortable.
See what you mean about departure lounge!.. waited ages boarding plane as a helluva lot of people didnt check in properly.
Ryanair flight itself was fine ...All in all a great holiday with lots of hot sun and Mythos the local beer.
Greece truly is a different world..Not a care in the world these people.
