Does anyone else here collect these?

Is there a definitive list anywhere of what there is to collect?

Are there any shops in Edinburgh that sell these?

Apologies for so many questions, any answers gratefully received.

I was never a collector of cards, but my neighbour handed in a few to me a couple of years ago.
He was a hearts fan, but whenever he got a Hibs card, he stuck it in a shoe box up in his parents attic.
His parents had a clear out and discovered the box after 30+years, still being a hearts fan, he still didn't want them and handed them to me.

Question-has the dafty been spending too much time in front of his oven waiting for his fairy cakes to rise or has he given me something that may be of value to someone that collects these? There are 49 cards, some are pretty worn but some are in absolutely tip top condition,,,where would be the best to find out about such things?92889289

You might want to get a hold of the books, "Half-Time", by David Thompson, or "The Pinnace Collection" by the Association of Football Statisticians (1986), which gives you all the editions, error cards and variances on size ie miniature, large or cabinet dimensions. The latter sizes are incredibly rare.

On a different note, I have a couple of very unusual Hibs badges which were given to me on a visit to Czechoslovakia many years ago. I am told at least one of the badges relates to a visit by Hibs in the 1940's. One is silver with a green enamel castle (?) and the other looks like an early enamel/plastic with a red thistle on a yellow background - not unlike the Partick Thistle bage but with HFC on it. Any info on these, ie dates and values would be greatly appreciated.

Hibs toured Czecoslovakia in June 1946 and played 4 games against

Sparta
Brno
Vitkovice
Slavia

As you will be aware, the TOPPS cards have humorous/quizzical caricatures/illustrations on their reverse. TOPPS auctioned off these original drawings a few years ago and they are much sought after, not just by football fans. If you get an opportunity to get hold of any, jump at the chance!

I will definitely try and get these books. I have tried Amazon but they are long out of print and stock.....
Can you suggest anywhere that may have them?

You will pay top dollar for these publications on Amazon. Your best bet is eBay and you might need to be patient! Good luck!
