The The Rangers of the cycling world. Claiming that his punishment was far too harsh. Only sorry for getting caught. Had a go at anyone who suggested he had cheated.

They were all at it. He wasn't the only one. Just the most high profile one.

Let's hope there are no revelations to come about our Olympic blue-eyed boys.

Lazy, ignorant and, let's face it, a load of completely uninformed b*******.

I have zero interest in cycling, but I can only imagine what it must feel like to have spent your life doing all the things you have to do when you've dedicated yourself to being the best at something, only to be told the guy that was raking in the cash and claiming all the glory was cheating.

I guess that feeling could only be worsened by having it dismissed in the manner you've chosen to do for some bizarre reason.

In that era, the vast majority of the top rung of road cyclists were on 'roids of some sort. Doesn't make it ok or anything, but it was the case.
