Is anyone in the know as to how the players spend the winter break, is light training, or one week break then return to noraml training??

Just wondering.

The players are getting a short break and then coming back in to train. Not sure how they'll train on return but Pat has confirmed they are getting a couple of days off. Hopefully they all come back refreshed and ready for the next stage of the season.

Find it difficult to believe that they are entitled to a "short break" - what for? They have lots and lots of "things/skills" to improve on after all, practice makes perfect - get them in training every day, working hard - a couple of days away from football and they might forget the little they already know ...:cb

You can also "practice failure"

Sometimes it's good to get away, clear the head and start again.... :agree:

What will it do... Lol they'll all be "on it" from early this afternoon and I'll start to take bets about the outcome.

1/20 - Wife's and GF's will never find out what really happens
10/30 An offensive tweet is made post 11pm
1/2 McPake gets a knock back from all George St clubs
Evans - players are chucked out of nightclub
3/1 - an altercation of some sort
5/1 - player arrested

1/100 - Griffiths pregnates another bird

Think celtc are the only club in the SPL that are going away for the winter break, other clubs just can't afford it anymore.

The players have a week off, know one of them is taking his missus away for a spa for a couple of days through in glasgow. None are going abroad but are just glad they have time off with their families after training and playing all through xmas and new year.

Saps :-)

I suggest using the time to improving the skills of being a professional football player. This will result in having more wins and more bonus money and greater job satisfaction. Simples

Im hoping our lads go out and get plenty bevy down them and relax with family, make them feel proud of the achievements so far this season then back into training refreshed (not hungover mind you) and ready to do part 2.

I know that one of the lads is off to the USA for a week.

I think they deserve a break.

Back training a week on Monday

They should have a break.....in the Brecon Beacons doing SAS route marches. Come back fit as fiddles.

Come back fit as fiddles.

I think the Yams must've had that misquoted to them as being as fit as fiddlers, 'cos they seem to have taken it to heart.

So long as they keep out of the public eye - maybe go on Celebrity Big Brother?

I'm quite enjoying the winter break. Stress-free weekend, chance to talk to the people in the house who claim to be family etc.

Is there any chance it could be extended until the end of the season? :greengrin
