Noticed a number of empty seats on tv behind their goal and in the big bus shelter stand when it was shown so i have no idea where this "sell out" thing came from

They'll change it when they realise.

Whilst the number is amusing it is funny how the official attendance is 10 more than the Cup attendance. Assume it is an effort to claim the largest attendance in Edinburgh this season. If these buggers told me there was 100p in the pound I wouldn't believe them. Just trying to be the "big club" for the last time before they slip into oblivion.

I had 17062 as my prediction in the PM attendance competition that day :grr:

That is an absolute classic, would have been a better wind up coming from ER but I can't believe it's coincidental. I suggest everyone asks Yams today what the crowd was & keep repeating, Won 7-0, 6-2!!
Genius!!

That is rather a fortunate number!

On another note, it saddens me that the rabble across the way manage to pull of a bigger derby attendance.

In my opinion we should be really pushing to make the next derby in March the first sell out of ER since it was redeveloped. Surely if we make an effort as a club we could do that? especially given that Hearts will most likely be a shadow of there former selves by then, and depending on how we are doing a rout could be on the cards?

Not sure how we could organise something but even if its just a general call to arms from Petrie and Fenlon and all the fans are encourage to bring a plus +1 or something.

Was that not our last game against them for this season?

There was tons of empty seats in their end. I thought their capacity was lowered recently so I doubt there was over 17000 there.

Nope, only played them twice in the league so far. 1 more game guaranteed. 1 not so much guaranteed :greengrin

Correct. In the stand opposite us there were easily 100 empty seats – no exaggeration. I did a rough count when Robinson was down injured. The lower corners of that stand had several blocks of 10-15 seats unoccupied. Also scattered groups of 3s and 4s empty to our right.

The stated figure is a backfiring attempt at oneupmanship... 7-0 6-2 and more tax for them to not pay!

I see the official attendance against the yaks was 17062, won 7-0 6-2. Quality number that.
