£80,000 is pretty much one player for a whole season. We could really kick on if the crowds were closer to 12,000 than 9,000.

'As we leave 2012 and all its highs and lows behind, I'm sure we can expect a few high five one greetings at Tynecastle - the problem is that Hibernian supporters just do not have enough fingers for a 7-0 or 6-2 reply!'

Good one Rod :greengrin

Strange though had the shoe been on the other foot and the Yams had beaten us 7-0 or 6-2 they'd have enough fingers to rip the pish out if us!

Makes a point that celtic at home at 3pm on a saturday was worse attended than three tv games.

Does he consider the time of year or the fact we just had a home game a few days previous etc?

Tv plays a huge part, or course it does but so do other factors such as price and timing and closeness of fixtures.

What do you mean unusual? Always get a new years message...

Thought it was absolutely great read. Loved the bit about 6-2 and 7-0. Always wonder if Rod writes this himself...

Got a good feeling regards 2013 for the club as a whole :agree:

Very different from RP's normal style. He must have been on the sauce or something.

Maybe his real personality is coming out. Anyone who was lucky enough to be at the Hall of Fame dinner will confirm he was really funny.

Rod Petrie is a massive Hibs fan. He maybe wasn't born into it like a lot of us but when you read statements like that there's no doubt the man has grown to love the club.

Whatever people think of the decisions he has made he undoubtedly has the clubs best interests at heart and for that I'm grateful.

Has anyone noticed that Petrie has got his "record attendance" stat completely wrong? The record attendance was the 2-2 draw against Hearts in 2011 and it isn't even listed!
