Makes sense to have it all together. I'll start with Sky reporting Jamie Murphy off to Sheffield Utd for £100,000. They also turned bid for Objama from Lech Poznan turned down.

Would Rodgers know sturridge from his time at Chelsea?

Obviously he feels sturridge has a lot of potential and is still young enough to make the transfer fee value for money, also looks to me like he's trying to build a young English team.

Don't really like Liverpool but I like the fact he's gone in there and looked at the bigger picture and trying to build a team rather than just throw one together to get a quick fix.

I've hardly seen anything of Sturridge so can't comment on whether £12 million is a fair price in the current market. But if he's half decent, why aren't Chelsea prepared to give him a chance ahead of the broken Torres? Still, he must represent better value than Andy Carroll for £35 million. Possibly the most outrageous fee in history.

Been certainly crying out for a player of that ilk, but, doubt he'll reach the heights he managed to just before he left first time round. Fleetwood Town sniffing around Jon Daly.

http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/alexander-weighs-up-move-to-take-jon-daly-to-fleetwood-1-2720127

Strange one, although allegedly Fleetwood have some cash available.

BIG-SPENDING Fleetwood Town are pondering a surprise move for Dundee United skipper Jon Daly.

The ambitious npower League Two outfit are poised to offer the Tangerines talisman a pre-contract deal for next season.

Dubliner Daly is out of contract in the summer so is now free to speak to other clubs as he weighs up his future.

Daly has yet to sign a new deal with the Tannadice club, but won’t be short of admirers and could find himself heading south at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Irishman has been an inspiration for United in recent years, helping them lift the Scottish Cup in 2010, and has also dropped back from attack to turn out in defence to help out the Arabs.

United manager Peter Houston wants to hang on to his captain, but new Fleetwood boss and former Scotland
international Graham Alexander has cash to spend and hopes to lure his top January target down south.

Daly joined United from Hartlepool in 2007 and has made over 150 appearances for the club despite battling back from two serious knee injuries.

Fleetwood recently had former Rangers and Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson on loan from Blackpool and have big plans for the future.

Walked off very slowly when being subbed (against you lot-after a reasonably poor game), shaking his head at the decision and then apparently argued with Shiels and/or Jimmy Nic in the tunnel after the game.

Since then he has been unused sub, unused sub, not even on bench....loaned out to Dundee.

But prior to that he had been having a few good games and a few poor games on a constant cycle!

Ibrahim seems to be a replacement for Harkins because he doesn't play the same role as Kelly....so now we just have to find someone to replace him!

We brought in Sissoko on a free before the window and he replaced O'Leary in the team so guess it will be him and Ryan at centre back and Pasca dropping back/O'Hara coming in as back up....although it does leave us short!

Nelson has been looking for a move back to nearer his family who stay in the north of England....he goes to stay with them after the game on saturday and travels back up for training the next week.

Probably the usual £100,000 up front with the balance due when they win the Champions League. Must be about the longest distance between clubs for a UK transfer. I can't think of anyone exceeding 588 miles, he won't be able to nip home after training anyway.

I would question the £400K as well, but do they not have to contribute a minimum amount given his age and that Aberdeen developed him? I would have thought that that would be more than £100K.

Don't know what the formula is but I understood it was based on players earnings. These youngsters will be on a pittance at SPL clubs so clubs will get screwed. Aberdeen were in this position with a young player that went to England last year. Think it was Fulham but will stand to be corrected.

Note - When I read the article I still thought LG was the top goalscorer so my post would of had a bit more relevance! :greengrin

Great signing on paper. Whatever they're paying, it'll still be more than they should (obviously it must be in accordance with the SPL rules, but he can't be on much less than McGowan). Hopefully heading for the same problems.

The player he is replacing isn't necessarily McGowan. It could be Enckelman.

Craig Beattie has left St Johnstone. Don't think he managed many games. When you think back to the summer transfer window when posters were going bananas because we hadn't signed him.....................

Exactly the same as with Sheridan. Both times the cub were proved right!

Dunno if it is quite the same, you maybe didn't need him but Sheridan has got nine goals in 18 starts (+1 sub) and was doing really well before the formation changed to bring Heffernan back in to the side.

I think that one has the potential to speed up the Craig to Hibs this window as he plays left midfield.

Agreed. Their attendances are poor and they'd be as well making a few extra grand just now seeing as they seem to have a replacement.

Killie have signed Sammy Clingan who according to Sheils is just what we need....so hopefully he can replace Liam Kelly!

At least the fact that we have got rid of three (Nelson, Harkins, Kelly) and brought in two (Clingan & Ibrahim) and have a couple on trial might shut up some of our fans who have been talking about a fire sale.

Agree and found him a nice bloke to speak too the times I have met him .
Simply not happy with his situation at Pittodrie and wants first team football - as do all at his age !!

Lee Johnson has left A*rshire's finest...was never a fan but thanks for the cross for DVT's goal!

9 of Killie's 16 players in the final against Celtc are away:

Kelly, Johnson, DVT, Bujis, Shiels, Harkins, Gordon, Kroca and Nelson...would have been ten without Sissoko coming back til end of season!

With all these comings and goings do you think you are weaker or stronger than last year at this time and where do you think Killie will finish the season?

Probably weaker but not by too much! Out of those I'd only really be happy seeing Kelly, Nelson and Shiels as regular players and I suppose Gordon if it was first time he was on loan Gordon and not second time.

Think we will finish top of the bottom six (give or take one position!)

We've released Boulding too but think he was a panic signing!

From STV:-

"Hearts have announced that three of their young players have signed new contracts. Goalkeeper Jack Hamilton and striker Dale Carrick have new deals to take them to 2014, while left-back Kevin McHattie agrees to a deal up until 2015."

The much maligned McHattie must be rated by some!

If THEM are releasing news like this on transfer deadline day then I suspect that we'll not be hearing much more from piggery park today.
