Inverleith secured pole position in the indoor first division the hard way – earlier in the day they dropped two points in an unexpected 2-2 draw with city neighbours Grange, then recovered to beat rivals Grove Menzieshill 4-3 to lead by a single point at the half-way stage in the competition.
