10 years ago today the great man passed. My all time hero. Stay Free Joe.

Another that went too soon.
London calling will be my choice of listening while I walk the dog shortly.

It was like a real kick in the guts the day he died. Not many ''celeb'' deaths affect me but Joe's did. The Clash were for me the best British band of all time and in my opinion London Calling and (perhaps more controversially) Sandinista were both masterpieces.

This track is perhaps his finest moment.

I can see why people would rate Sandinista though no matter how many times I've tried to get into it I just can't. For me the self titled debut album is by far and away the best.

God, 10 years. Can't believe it's been that long.

Sandinista is The Clash at their self indulgent best. #charliedontsurf
